Where he parked it...he woul d have hurt many, but don’t know how many would have been killed. He was a couple blocks away....6th and Yamhill. But it’s a busy area, especially this weekend.

I heard on the news that cops arrested him after he called a cell phone number that he thought would detonate the bomb.

6th and Yamhill is the SE corner of Pioneer Square.

Not so. 6th and Yamhill is at the SE corner of Pioneer Square, excellent positioning for maximum effect. Each of the other surrounding streets are elevated in varying levels around the square, which is designed as an amphitheater. The SE portion is at ground level with the base of the amphitheater and the seating rises around it on the remaining sides. Add to it that the old courthouse (substantially built) is on the SE side of 6th Ave and would have acted to redirect some of the blast back toward the Square.
