I read about it primarily in the works of David Satter, senior fellow with the Hudson Institute; adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University; former research fellow with the Hoover Institution at Stanford University; former Moscow correspondent for the Financial Times; special correspondent on Soviet affairs for The Wall Street Journal.
I suggest you read the National Review article I linked above, or else Professor Satter’s Yale University Press book “Darkness at Dawn: The Rise of the Russian Criminal State” (2003).
If you have some credible evidence that Professor Satter has been lying about Russia please present it here and to the above mentioned institutions. I’m sure we’d all like to know the truth.
