Some suggest that she is an intellectual lightweight. I disagree. I read her book, and her track record is far stronger than is generally acknowledged. (By the way - please read "Going Rogue", by Palin.)
I think she has the ability to lead, the ability to understand people, to work with and through others - and that is an essential skill in a President. Notice that Reagan had that same quality.
Is Sarah a blue-blood? No, I suppose not. But she is a good, red-blooded American. I think she would make us - FReepers and Americans - very proud as a President.
Count me among her supporters.
Agreed. I ordered it before it came out, and thought it was a great read. And having listened to her in various other venues, I am convinced that it was basically Sarah who wrote it, and that her co-author merely cleaned it up and polished it. Unlike Obama, who does not name a co-author but who is obviously incapable of writing either of his books.
I also ordered Sarah's forthcoming book, and Amazon just shipped it. It's in the mail! looking forward to it.
In other words, stop taking the media's word for it, whether pro or con. Listen to what the woman says. Read what she writes. She is very capable, experienced, and bright. Good values, common sense, love of family and country, and real religion.
What we need.
Good!
I haven't decided, yet, since no one has declared, but she's certainly "a person of interest"!
The problem being that Palin didn't write "Going Rogue". Lynn Vincent ghostwrote it for her.
Wisconsin Which was so in love with Zero, now hates him. Cannot find any sane person admit they voted for him,
Wisconsin goes Palin in 2012!
“Is Sarah a blue-blood? No, I suppose not. But...”
It almost sounds like you think it’s a bad thing that she’s not a blue-blood (the “but” in the post). The last thing we need is another hoity-toity blue-blood being crowned. That snipe by Barbara Bush was disgusting, as is all the crap from Bush-sycophant Rove. This country needs someone who’s smart, down-to-earth, knows how much a gallon of milk costs (unlike Bush 41), and is not easily intimidated.
