When you invite the American ambassador to a luncheon, you don't say something like this:
"For example, one British businessman noted that despite the "overwhelming might of the American economy compared to ours" the amount of American and British investment in Kyrgyzstan was similar. Snapped the Duke: "No surprise there. The Americans don't understand geography. Never have. In the U.K., we have the best geography teachers in the world!"

Why not, it is true. Geography has not been a high school subject for decades.
It’s an accurate statement.
Are we so sensitive now that a minor fact causes a whiny response like the Prince was “rude”?
I don’t see rudeness, I see a young man tired of diplo double speak, euphemisms and guarded language speaking frankly and honestly.
There may be hope for the House of Windsor yet.
But in point of fact, he is correct in that assessment. No one travels better than a Brit.
