lived here for around 40+ years.....
I felt an earthquake in 1981 or 82...that one was centered in LI Sound...thought it was a big truck shaking the main road a block away...except it took too long to pass.....only later I read that it was a quake....
I did not feel this one.
I felt the one in 1985. It was morning and I was sitting on the floor and remember thinking “what the heck is that?” (I was 15). It was my first and only earthquake I’ve ever felt.
