San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris claimed victory in the hard fought race for state attorney general today, the deadline for counties to finish counting votes.

"We did it," said the Democrat, who will be the state's first female, first African-American and first Indian-American attorney general when she is sworn in next month.

Speaking in front of a room full of supporters in Los Angeles, Harris listed tackling mortgage fraud, the state's 70 percent recidivism rate, environmental issues and civil rights as some of her priorities.

Look at the bright side—as California continues to swirl down the toilet, the Dems will have no one to blame but themselves at this point. They control everything in CA.

How can she be african-American and indian-American at the same time?

Her father is one and her mother is the other.

I don't know where you've been the last two years, but you couldn't be more wrong.

As long as there's a single Republican left standing, anywhere in California politics, that Republican will be made into the cause of all their problems, with the enthusiastic help of their es nuestra estación media.

Anti-business environmental loon. If you have a business in CA, wrap it up and restart in another state in January.

Well, which is it? Is she from Africa or India?

She was born in Oakland. Her father is Jamaican and mother emigrated from India. She grew up in a home with a "blended" tradition of Hindu and Baptist faiths.

She's anti-death penalty.
