I’m seeing a disturbing number of FReepers applauding it.

In a sense they should be but they need to understand why and be very careful about what they want government to do about it. A lot of people are calling for the head of Assange but they need to understand that he's just doing what journalists do. (not that his motives are good) If the government goes after him for receiving information and then sharing it, they can go after any of us.

Personally I think there are some very high level leaks and they are the ones responsible.
