Kudos to the Russians.

Without immigration, the US is contracepting and aborting itself into oblivion only a half step behind Russia and the other countries nativist neocons delight to spit upon. I do not expect to see the day Americans have the Russia-sized balls necessary to name the problem out loud as Medvedev has done.

Unchecked illegal immigration is the only thing saving the US economy from being in the same trouble as Russia, Japan, and much of Western Europe.

I’d like to ask all those blowhards yelling about illegals who they think is going to be paying their social security and medicare. Who do they think is going to man the economy and create the consumer markets that make the US a worthwhile place to invest?

“Who knew Russia had the same size population as Mexico.”

Is that counting the Mexican population here in the U.S.?

I think he’s right on the money. We’ve got the same problem in the US. We really can’t have so few workers and so many on Social Security. Rand Paul mentioned after the election how we might have to raise the retirement age substantially.

Any time a politician talks about the need to raise the social security age, it’s a recognition that we can’t have half the population too old to work. Rand Paul has mentioned this recently.

Even when it’s Medvedev it’s still Putin.

I,for one, find Eastern European women distinctly unappealing.

That's OK... it's a buffet out there.. you don't have to sample every dish on the table!

Ahhh... the Russian Brides, one of my old favorite pass times.

A guy I used to work with used to receive an email from a Russian mail order bride service just before lunch on Tuesdays.

He'd forward the email in all it's glory to several of us with "Russian Whores" in the subject line...

Russian Whores.

My favorite was the four page spread...

1. Some Cossack chick clad in a bikini beginning to take a dip in the icy, muddy Lake Kubyshevskoye.

2. Posing in a Kazan potato field, wearing a low cut blouse, sprawled across the hood of an abandoned Russian sedan.

3. Modeling the latest in Belorussian lingerie in the interior of a Soviet block house.

4. In casual attire, in front of a Christmas (or May Day) feast, arm placed conspicuously around the shoulders of a lop-sided, smiling 7 year old son dressed in a cowboy outfit.

Personally, I don't expect anyone to pay my Social Security or Medicare. I can't imagine it will still be there.

I plan on working until I'm disabled or dead, just like dozens upon dozens of generations before me did.

I highly doubt upwards of thirty million third worlders, with foreign allegiances, a distaste for education, law abiding, and assimilation, are going to provide anywhere near the tax revenue as to what they're going to take.

Aside from Petroleum extraction and labor intensive agriculture, what do people invest in Mexico now?

I don’t dislike Russians. I have a Russian doctor who has a Polish accent and grew up two hundred miles from the Polish border. He is quite handsome and my age. Naturally, I don’t entirely mind going to a clinic to get my medical problems solved. He’s so cute!

The problem in the US is that we are unwilling ot do anything that involves getting our hands dirty or facing problems as they are. We’re all becoming a nation of aristocrats who want to get fluffy degrees and posh jobs. Then we want to import people to do things we don’t want to dirty our hands with, or have our kids do.

We want someone else to do the job, get dirty, put up with all the derision and disdain, then after they have served their use, go away quietly and die alone so that there are no disruptions in our perfect lives. Look at how we treat our troops; we really as a soceity couldn’t care less about them, but go figure, they’re the ones putting their lives on the line.
