The Washington Post is reporting that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is ready to schedule a test vote on the DREAM Act even though he's not yet sure if he has enough votes to pass the amnesty legislation.
Once Sen. Reid files a motion for cloture on the DREAM Act, a vote would likely occur after the Senate has met for at least one day.
The DREAM Act would provide an amnesty to an estimated 2.1 million illegal aliens. To qualify for provisional status, individuals must have come to the United States before the age of 16, been in the country for at least the last five years, and hold a high school diploma or GED. To earn citizenship, individuals who qualify for provisional status must attend college or join the military.
Sen. Reid has repeatedly said he would allow the DREAM Act to come to the Senate floor as a stand alone bill after attempts to attach it to the Defense Authorization bill failed to receive enough votes for cloture in September. Sixty votes are required to begin debate on the bill.
There are faxes for you to send to your Three Members of Congress, including customized actions for Senators who have not indicated how they will vote on the bill.
The illegal aliens want their payback for pulling Dingy’s stinky chestnuts out of the fire back in November. They saved his bony, little @$$ and now they want what he promised them.

I had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas the second week of November for my nephews weddoing. I chose to stay home and I do not plan to go there again until Reid is gone. This vote will identify the targets for 2012 to finish the job.

The Dims have about 21 or 22 Senate seats to defend in 2012. Doesn’t look good for that dim-bulb Reid to keep his majority seat.
Senators like Claire McCaskill (D-MO) are put in an untenable position on this vote.
If she votes for it, her "moderate" creds are compromised and she is exposed as the huge Lib she really is.
If she votes against it, she becomes the Blanche Lincoln of 2012 in leftist circles and invites a well financed primary challenger.
I'm beginning to believe there is some good in still having Harry around.

I raised hell with Mitch McConnell the last time around. That time the smarmy little RINO's office told me he hadn't made up his mind even a few days before the vote. I think his core principles are on par with his backbone. Got neither.
They should rename the “Dream Act” as Harry Reid’s “Wet Dream Act”. He’s certainly gettin’ off on it. And his state is becoming another Democratic shithole.
I’m thinking we should have announced before the election that Las Vegas would be boycotted if Harry Reid were re-elected. It might have let all those casino workers realize they owe their jobs to tourism, not Harry.
