[Maryland governor] Martin O'Malley is expected to be elected chairman of the Democratic Governors Association in Washington on Wednesday, a position that would give him a turn in the national spotlight. As chairman, O'Malley could fatten his list of donors with names from other states, deepen relationships with a network of emerging Democratic leaders and recruit new faces to the party. It would also afford an opportunity to install loyal staffers in key national positions. The position proved a stepping-stone for former President Bill Clinton, current Health Secretary Kathleen Sibelius and current Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, among others.

According to friends in Baltimore and Maryland, MM has some serious baggage - romantic activities and entanglements - that limit him to the governorship.
O’Malley won in three Maryland Counties where the population was enough to over ride the population of the rest of the Counties here.
Those Counties are filled with Obama voters who evidently do not care about higher taxes since they elected him.
O’Malley raised our sale tax and has raised Marylands taxes to where we pay through the nose. He is definitely a prize for the democrats.
o’mally runs in the footsteps of glendenning, the former (loser) governor. he was the fool whose prime idea (among many other insipid, ignorant thoughts) was so-called “smart-growth”. yea...that was a really smart idea. NOT! Maryland voters in Baltimore and WDC suburbs are fools blinded by the “where do I get mine” mentality. Pinheaded fools and Moonbat Asshats.

Freedom in the 50 states An index of personal and economic freedom / William P. Ruger & Jason Sorens:
We find that the freest states in the country are New Hampshire, Colorado, and South Dakota, which together achieve a virtual tie for first place. All three states feature low taxes and government spending and middling levels of regulation and paternalism. New York is the least free by a considerable margin, followed by New Jersey, Rhode
Island, California, and Maryland. On personal freedom alone, Alaska is the clear winner, while Maryland brings up the rear.
Regulatory Policy Ranking: 47th
Economic Freedom Ranking: 34th
Personal Freedom Ranking: 50th
Pretty much sums up Maryland and the liberal scum voted Hoyer back in as well.
It’s difficult, I would imagine, to lead anyone with your head up your a$$ or lips on HRR BO’s a$$
to the extent that he will drive the Democrat Governors so far to the left they’ll go over the same cliff that Obama is leading the national Dems over, I view this as good news.
