Yep, Charlie is a con man, tax cheat and liar and he’s good at it. He can turn on the tears and garner sympathy at will from cronies that are probably guilty of the same crimes. Of course being a Democrat and member of the CBC has much to do with his success in his criminal endeavors over the years, he belongs in a federal slammer.
He definitely belongs in jail.
What didn’t Rangel do that Duke Cunningham, who is in jail, do?
Apparently taking kickbacks from private corporations = bad.
Taking money from the government and abusing tax laws = not so bad.
For my money, taking money from the hapless taxpayer should command more severe punishment than some crime where a contractor and legislator grease the skids for each other’s benefit.
