January 05, 2004
Ray Davies, the lead singer with the British rock band The Kinks, is recovering after being shot in New Orleans.
A police spokesman said Davies and a female companion were walking near the French Quarter at about 8:30 p.m. ET Sunday when two suspects approached them and grabbed the woman’s purse.
Davies, 59, ran after the suspects, and was shot in the leg, New Orleans Police Department spokesman Capt. Marlon DeFillo said.

A firing squad is too good for these vermin as it has a little sense of dignity. Hanging is more ignominious and their bodies should be dumped in the ocean as food for the sea vermin

I’ve met Ray. Cool guy.
A friend of mine tours with him. She says he’s a big liberal, but I don’t get that sense here.
Oh, and he is truly a brilliant musician. Many Brit musicians credit The Kinks with being a major influence on them, more so than the Beatles.

I say use something that can be used more than once and that emits no smoke or toxins in the atmosphere.
I would thing a pleated leather noose made of pig hides would do nicely. You could use it over and over again.
