Recently, a left wing commentator named Keith Olbermann attacked me for being a spokesperson for abstinence education and for being an Ambassador for the Candies Foundation, which promotes teen pregnancy awareness and prevention education. He went so far as to call me "the worst person" he knows, apparently, for my efforts to educate teenagers about the real world risks of premarital sex.
Accusing me of hypocrisy is by now, an old canard. What Mr. Olbermann lacks in originality he makes up for with insincere incredulity. Mr. Olbermann fails to understand that in order to have credibility as a spokesperson, it sometimes takes a person who has made mistakes. Parents warn their children about the mistakes they made so they are not repeated. Former gang members travel to schools to educate teenagers about the risks of gang life. Recovered addicts lecture to others about the risks of alcohol and drug abuse. And yes, a teen mother talks about the benefits of preventing teen pregnancy.
I have never claimed to be perfect. If that makes me the "worst person in the world" to Mr. Olbermann, then I must apologize for not being absolutely faultless like he undoubtedly must be.
To Mr. Olbermann let me say this: you can attack me all you want. But you will not stop me from getting my message out about teen pregnancy prevention. And one day, if you ever have a daughter, you may change your mind about me.
Bristol Palin
To have a child, Olberdork would have to be human, not the putrid-pond-scum-in-human-form he is.
“And one day, if you ever have a daughter, you may change your mind about me.”
This will never happen if these stories are true:

A perfect humble response to an evil sniveling insecure coward.
No wonder Keith is such an angry, bitter man
This is going to be a LONG campaign if her mom jumps in.

You go girl!

Thank you Bristol Palin.
1) You’re as bright as your mother (I mean this as a compliment.)
2) I never made the connection in my head that a teen mother can be spokesperson against teen motherhood, THE SAME WAY as former gangsters, drug-users, et al can be against their former ways.
Thank you.
P.S. I hope Levi grows up.
I’m sure Keith practiced abstinence as a teen, just not by choice.
I wouldn’t worry too much about Olberman. Given his audience, which I hear consists of five hippies, a dozen “community activists” and a handful of intellectually deficient dragoons, I doubt anyone of much substance even heard it.
I hardly know what canard means and I have never used it in a conversation. I think she had a little coaching in writing her response. Some of Mama-bear's posts are awfully thoroughly researched to be the result of one busy woman.
Of course, we know that a lot of people don't post the twitter posts they say they wrote, either. It's a brave new world, and caution is a good byword in sorting out the happenings of the blogosphere.
The extraneous commas are certainly hers. It's nicely written, though.
But the response was ill-advised. Very few people besides her even knew about Olbermann's little gibe -- now they will. She'd have done better to have not responded at all.
Teach us about family values, say teenagers: How to be a parent is their sex education priority
Olberman is a major league nutjob douchebag. Period.
I bet she wrote more of this than Obama wrote in all of his books combined.
Yeah she should’ve just shrunk from the a-hole. NOT.
ROFL..the closest this @$$munch will ever get to an act of procreation is the nightly circle jerk for distance he shares with his 3 MSLSD buddies - Chris Matthews, Ed Shultz, and Paul Maddow. Paul usually wins.
Not if you're teaching your kid how to fight. Face it, the left is mean and nasty and expects to get away with attacking anyone they please, including a young woman like Bristol, 'cause they expect the 'civil' side to not fight back.
I hope she next takes a handful of Meghan McCain hair and flops her on her wide rear end, figuratively of course.
