How New Jersey Legislature can fix +/-90% of their problems with inner-city violence:
1) Repeal New Jersey’s gun laws.
2) Pre-empt localities from having their own gun laws.
3) Pass ‘Castle Doctrine’ and ‘Self Defense’ laws.
3a) Due to the almost unimaginable severity of the current problems, POSSIBLY have to wait through one or two years of increased violence and murder rates as ‘the wheat separates from the chaff’, so to speak.
4) begin to reap the societal benefits of allowing people to defend THEMSELVES, as crime and violence rates drastically decrease, and decent, hard-working, honest people once again become willing to live and work in these cities.
5) Raze buildings such as depicted in the original post.
Better that they should become vegetable gardens.
Even better: abolish welfare totally. Let the underclass move elsewhere or stop being underclass.
