The Obama administration is continuing to roll out top officials to urge passage of immigration legislation, most recently with Commerce Secretary Gary Locke saying that a failure to pass the Dream Act would be “terrible for America.”
“Many of these kids spent years in publically funded state schools – American tax payers have invested in them,” Locke told reporters on a conference call on Friday. “Unless we pass the Dream Act, we’ll keep throwing away hard-earned investment.”

I would scarcely call being forced to pay their education through my tax dollars an 'investment', Mr Locke. And the most appropriate term for your 'august opinion' is 'chutzpah'...

If our public schools are so good, then there will be a host of people who can go home and fix what is wrong with their country. That might be a good investment in the long run, rather than filling some tinpot dictator's bank account.

We have been defrauded by them and our local and state treasuries depleted and our schools dumbed down to accomodate them.
Let’s just mirror Mexico’s immigration laws to be fair and reasonable. Then the hispanics can’t callm us racist.
A lot of Third World countries could use their education..send them home. Maybe they could fix some immigration problems by starting some business’s in their countries of birth.

More jobs for legal Americans is never terrible for America.
Maybe it will be good for Mexico to have some educated people go back to Mexico and help the native people straighten out their country.

Our next ‘investment’ in these intruders will include police-free attorneys- courts-prisons-free medical & dental in prison-welfare for their plethora of ‘children’.
The investment’ that has already occurred in the free education can be totally laid at the feet of the Teachers Union. They refused to even make a minimal attempt at ascertaining if the ‘student’ in their class who could not speak a single word of English was legally inside the USA.
They kept saying they were not ‘part of the Border Patrol’.
In addition to the ‘investment’ you keep referring to, Mr Locke, I would remind you that the lack of basic learning skills & not speaking English put the entire remainder of the class of AMERICAN kids who had the basics & spoke Engligh pulled down to a death march of a crawl.
Your kids—your Grandkids— have been cheated of a decent education where ever illegals have proliferated.
The consumer is cheated when they are trying to deal with an American who has been pushed thru the system & isn’t a decently employable person. The consumer is further cheated by the fact that our insurance- particular auto insurance- is sky high because of the NON-INSURED illegals who also are not licensed.

In 1970, California was 7th in the nation for having the most educcated population. That was only 40 years ago.
Today, California is 50th in the nation for those same standards. The influx of the illegals immigration is the source of this change. There is absolutely NO OTHER explanation.
I lived in So Cal in the 70’s. The “Bracero Program” brought in Mexicans with documents, which allowed them to work the fields & then to go back to their families in the winter season. Most of those workers honored that system, with the men & women coming,working & NOT bringing a wheelbarrow full of kids.
The illegals streaming across the border since the early 80’s have increasingly become more militant—less educated—more likely to be a criminal in Mexico who is fleeing whatever level of prosecution they MIGHT put into place there.
That illegal brought with it the lack of education— refusal to assimilate into the American culture—an arrogance and hatred for the persons living north of the border(even their own kind who were here legally).
They are often part of a drug system that is destroying our country.
Tunnels near San Diego were not dug by industrious ground gophers!!!
The rail tracks in those tunnels are NOT an extension of San Diego light rail system!!!!
The lights & ventilation are NOT an experiment by Pacific Gas & Electric!!!
Vast expanses of land inside our borders have signs telling people NOT to go here—it is too dangerous!!!!
You are paying the U S Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management & other Federal Agencies their paychecks for them to tell you NOT to go into parks & preserves in the USA!!!!OUTRAGEOUS!!!
The Border Patrol goes on trial for doing their job-—Ranchers are shot & killed while checking their stock water tanks, on land they have ranched in the family for 4 generations.
Environazis are dinging you constantly for donations to ‘save the Polar Bear- or a small rat—or a fish not native to where it is at....
I challenge those same groups to do some REAL FIELD TRIPS to the areas in Arizona & New Mexico & Yexas and see the damage the illegals are doing!!

Put your money where your mouth is!@!! Go at your own expense to Arizona & ride along with Sheriff Joe & his deputies. Do that for your next 2 week vacation.....TRY doing it with a pair of OPEN eyes.

MR LOCKE: It is really easy to sit inside the Beltway & make declarations about how the illegals deserve more support, when they broke laws to be here in the first place. Go spend 2 weeks, minimum 8 hours a day with Maricopa County deputies & see if you might just be more than a little bit wrong!!!!
Meanwhile—how DARE you push more of those intruders onto me & the rest of the Americans who are trying to save our country!!!!
