Police: Man tried to sell immigrant

A Norcross man was arrested in Alabama last week for attempting to sell a Honduran immigrant to a restaurant there.

According to Florence, Ala. police, 49-year-old Ming Zhang transported the unidentified man from Atlanta to the city in northwest Alabama with intent to sell him to a local restaurant as a laborer.

When the 25-year-old victim realized what was going on, he called police.

“He was approached and offered a job,” Florence police Det. Justin Wright said Tuesday. “He thought he was coming here for legitimate work. When he discovered he was being sold, he objected.”

Zhang was arrested and charged with second-degree human trafficking on Nov. 23. He is being held at Lauderdale County Detention Center.

Officials could not verify the victim’s status, but believed he was an illegal immigrant. Wright did not release the name of the restaurant in question or say if there was any participation on its behalf.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation was aiding in the investigation.

"I never seen anything like this either "

Happens all the time. Human trafficking is one of the least understood crimes today, and it just doesn't happen to young girls being prostituted. It's prevalent, especially in asian communities, but also in some south and central American communities as well. It's contemporary indentured servitude.

This guy, if guilty, should spend the rest of his miserable life not enjoying the freedom he tried to deny others.

As a taxpayer, my answer would be "too much".

I think you have to by the entire thing, trying to part one out is a little messy.

I'll see you're $5 and raise you $10.

It’s actually pretty common, especially among Asians. The Asian illegal immigrant market is controlled by Asian gangs that are also involved in just about every other illegal activity that exists.

I remember a few years ago when a shipping container full of Chinese was found in a port in WA. This was after a shipping container full of dead or dying Chinese was found at another nearby port.

I think they are cheaper by the dozen. I want to start a plantation, maybe I could get a bulk rate?

“I want to start a plantation...”

Just remember to plant them head first, and plenty of watering.
