U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel was greeted with a standing ovation Saturday at a town hall meeting in Harlem two days after he was censured by by the House.

"I am very pleased this is behind me," Rangel, who looked dapper in a dark suit and tie, told cheering supporters after a two-year ethics probe.

Insisting that his colleagues were bowing to political pressure, Rangel remained defiant and confident, saying he was "not guilty of corruption or self-enrichment."

This is not the end, only the beginning. He will be brought up on ethics charges for using campaign funds for his defense.

If any of Charlie’s black constituents in Harlem had not paid taxes for 12 years, they would not have gotten off with a verbal admonishment, either.

That is the tragedy of the democrat plantation.

Just another example of the balkanizing of the US through a policy of promoting ethnic and racial policies.

This bastard should be brought up on Federal charges and in prison for the same crimes you or I would be completely convicted for!

Censure? Now, now, now, naughty Chuckie.....spanky, spanky, keep on doing what you do best by the way, no more trouble for you, you are free to keep on doing what it is that you do as usual.

This is why Amerika is down the tubes!

" Must be nice to not to pay taxes for 12 years and only get a verbal admonishment. I wonder if the government would allow an ordinary citizen to get away with that? "

Wesley Snipes must be the wrong color black.

Ordinary citizens would lose any security clearances they held. Hmmmm, does Rangel hold a security clearance, I wonder?

What was a Korean War Vet like Charlie "Bring Back the Draft" Rangel doing speaking at a PRO-NORTH KOREA Workers World Party event?? Hannity and O'Reilly never quite got around to asking him.

Note: the page (on the Workers World Party website) with this photo has recently been removed.

But here's other evidence of his speaking at the event:

"Among the many speakers were elected representatives—U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel and New York City Council members Charles Barron and Margarita Lopez—who have bucked their party to come out against the war. Barron has also introduced a Troops Out Now resolution in the City Council."--Workers World Party

Isn’t he under investigation again for how he financed his defense of the charges he was just censured for?! Geesh!

Marion Berry was reelected after being caught smoking crack with a hooker.

Talk about a true culture of corruption

I don't know.

I feel kind of sorry for Congressman Rangel.

War hero, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, rose above his station, Way and Means Chairman instead of some fake diversity consulting job.

Skimmed a little off the top? Yup. Cheated on his taxes? Yup. Didn't have the right papers for his fancy car? Yup.

Ran a multimillion dollar winery with nonunion labor? Nope. Leaving Congress a billionaire on his government salary? Nope. Diverted billions to his multimillionaire spouse with insider knowledge about government contracts? Nope. Wrote laws to create windfalls for businesses run by relatives, forcing the military to accept second-best technology as a result? Nope.

He was shamed because he was capable of shame, by people who mock the concept.

Did he deserve it? Yes he did.

He deserved censure. His condemners deserve the all-night firing squad at RFK stadium.

Clarification for others: it's of the OJ verdict being announced when blacks were seen cheering (despite the overwhelming amount of evidence pointing to his guilt).

The reason the black race is so caught up in the “slave” mentality is because of the shame of the men to not FIGHT against the captors of their families. Resistance was meager and often futile. Now they decide to fight back but against themselves. Right back to the tribe mentality that started the black race plight.

To his credit, there’s one black guy (at about one o’clock high) who isn’t cheering. This picture is rather proof that the case wasn’t about facts and evidence but about color, for a significant part of population, and this whether you believe OJ did it or not.
