At the expense of DADT repeal and in particular the DREAM act sellout, I believe your analysis is short sighted. Mangling the morale of our military and providing a 10% dem voter base instant increase are much more dangerous to this country over the long run, IMO.

The stock market is not the be all and end all of our economy, IMO. If there is a big sell off, so be it as long as the liberal agenda is stopped dead cold.

I understand where you're coming from. Believe me, I do.

But my impression is that DREAM is dead in the water anyway -- if they get to it at all.

Understand that we still don't have a budget for FY 2011. Literally nothing has been done. And, of necessity, that will consume much of the time remaining in the lame duck.

At this time, the economy is simply more important than any other single issue.

This deal is nothing to do with DREAM Act, DREAM Act is going down, they dont have the votes.

Now, what the GOP Senators should do is once the tax cut and budget votes are held, yawn and say they are too tired to go on, Merry Christmas and force the lame ducks to go home.
