What utter nonsense. Has the world gone mad? Who has the will and the means to expose the carbon hoax for what it is? Human generated co2 is no imminent threat to the climate or to the planet. Yet, even those who know better go along with the tide of government and political pressure.

“The decarbonisation of the transport and greener lifestyles are going to be good for health as well as being good for the planet.”

If all the world becomes a Third World country through the Cap n Trade Taxes, the Kyoto Protocol, severe restrictions on business, etc....then I fail to see how that is going to improve health.

*Hedging their bets indeed. I find it hopeful that 1) they now feel the need to address the fact that more people every day are understanding that the AGW hoax is BS with an evil purpose and 2) they are forced to resort to such absolutely lunatic attempts to restart their faltering engine.*

I’m thinking the Left want to make AGW an alternative scapegoat because they’re tired of blaming Bush and yelling “racist.”

Now they can pretend that their unfounded blame is “scientific”

The Sun rises every day. People die at sunrise. The Sun should be outlawed.

Palm to face...unbelievable.

>Professor Ian Roberts of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine said there is a direct correlation between and carbon emissions and expanding waistlines.<

Prove it, “professor”.

“cutting carbon emissions will help combat obesity”

Yeah, but will it combat baldness and bad breath?

There is an almost linear relationship between carbon consumption and:

1. Longevity,

2. Knowledge and education,

3. Healthfulness,

4. Plentiful food,

5. Plentiful heat and shelter, and

6. Plentiful clothing.

Obviously carbon consumption is truly awful thing.

The socialists can’t control a prosperous people. They need to get us poor, dumb, and starving. They have already succeeded at the first two. That’s 2/3rds of the way to totalitarianism.

Groups urge Obama to make Arctic refuge a national monument ANCHORAGE, Alaska — President Obama is being urged to bestow national monument status on the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for its 50th anniversary in what supporters say would finally put the refuge’s coastal plain beyond the reach of oil companies.

They want the country’s largest and most untamed refuge to join the likes of the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Giant Sequoia groves of California, the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and George Washington’s birthplace in Virginia.

National monument status could put an estimated 11 billion barrels of recoverable oil beyond the grasp of oil companies forever.

That sounds nice, but it’s a bad idea, said Wayne Stevens, president and CEO of the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce. He said there is a “huge disconnect” in this country between products people want and the resource development required to provide those products.

“We are shutting this country down,” he said.........
