Parents outraged over finance class reading (NH Conservative Parents Push Back, Liberal Freak Out)
The Union Leader ^ | 12/6/2010 | GREG KWASNIK

BEDFORD – The parents of a Bedford teen are calling for the ouster of school officials who assigned their son a book that refers to Jesus Christ as a "wine-guzzling vagrant and precocious socialist."

"We had almost PhD people letting this fumble through their fingers, and they all said it was grand," said Dennis Taylor, a conservative Christian. "I think there should be a review of these individuals and perhaps some firing done."

Thanks, I just forwarded that to him. I think the paper is due later this week, it is near the end of the Fall semester.

Thanks, sister, but Bill and his coworkers are trying to make a difference.

That’s hard to do when most of the people that are on his side are too busy to be able to get involved in a meaningful way, and his opposition is mostly independently wealthy and retirees and downright bums who have nothing else to do but meddle in everybody else’s business.

NH is overrun with independently wealthy, over-educated, white-guilt liberals who know best how to spend your money, and tax refugees who forgot why it was they fled their home states in the first place.

...and as conservatives continue to flee the state; the balance of power is tipping in their direction. New Hampshire is becoming Vermont or Massachusetts...

That is an understatement. There are many reasons for the changes but it has become a torrent in the last several years. The rate of change is really phenominal even to the point where Republicans have a hard time with real conservatives in NH. I and other will keep up the good fight but in reality I see NH as another Vt in 5-7 years. I expect this go around with the Republican majority the last one in NH for a long time to come with many Romney republicans riding the middle. Any social issue of concern to Conservatives will be zotted with great vigor by both nh republicans and democrats. Time to find greener pastures elsewhere.

Raising good conservative children is also “being involved”.

Wow...that long? :-)

Look how the establishment took out conservatives like LaMontagne and Horn in the GOP primaries...

5-7 is long estimate, I can be delusional and in denial at times too....hahaaa

Correct about what NH Republican Party did to conservatives in NH. Ayotte is already in the Juan McPain camp and Judas Gregg is just being a Judas. Sununu is the worst. Expect John to run against the abortion loving Sheehan in 2012. Daddy Sununu just stepped down to make room for another RINO, John to run again. I over heard him recently at a socail event “ the tides have changed enough so I can get my seat back.”

Few people know John Sununu Sr as NH R Chair attended 10 fund raiser prior to the primary for John Stephens and only 1 for Jack Kimball 3 days prior to the primary. What biased crap. I am so glad Stephens lost. I have seen John Sununu 4 times since the election and I always ask him how his boy Stephens is doing since he LOST against Lynch. Sununu=D*bag.

the NH TEA Party better get going sooner than later in NH and keep the NH Republican machine far away. The TEA party did it in Maine, they might pull it off here.

Yep all the same birds essentially. Look at Judas Greggs voting record in the last 18 months you would think the was a D behind his name. I used to be his neighbor, if I were now it would be very ugly. All juddy cares about is the tenant occupancy rate of the family owned buildings at Pease and for a while Bank of America stock since that is who ended up buyin out his Dad’s bank and the family trust was/is heavy on BOA stock. Judas’s son married Jeb Bradley’s daughter so you there you have two banking trust fund rino families tied at the hip. OOOh joy.

I guess I can’t blame John jr, if RINO Bass got “his” seat back why can’t Johnny get his back? What was I thinking?

In Matthew 10:32-33, Jesus said, "Stand up for me against world opinion and I'll stand up for you before my Father in heaven. If you turn tail and run, do you think I'll cover for you?"

That's gorgeous!

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Beheadings to begin in 10, 9, 8... What’s that? Oh? It wasn’t insulting Islam? Never mind.

Wonder if this book would be allowed in a "Suggested Reading" list by the NH education-atheists who control these things?

Islam and Mammon: The Economic Predicaments of Islamism
by Timur Kuran

A reviewer sums it up:

"In short, Islamic economics has trivial economic import but poses a substantial and malign political danger."

New Hampshire students should be required to learn about these economic forces that threaten them and forget Barbara E's cheap shots at Jesus.

UPDATE: the Bedford School board has decided to keep this charming book as part of the curriculum...what a surprise.

In a related story; the 'Daily Beast' has named University of New Hampshire the 'druggiest' school in the country. Congratulations, you morally bankrupt sewer of a state...New Hampshire is #1!
