Why does his jersey say 23 in one picture and 25 in another? Do high school players change numbers every year?

Do high school players change numbers every year?

Not every year...but a couple situations are possible:

First situation: His wanted number was taken. At most high schools or colleges, seniors have first pick of jersey numbers...then juniors...and so on. A player may have a favorite number, but if someone with seniority has it, they have to pick another number (or can ask the senior with his wanted number if they want to trade - which, most of the time, the senior says "bug off"). The following year, after the senior graduates, then the player can get the number he/she wants.

The second situation is that he got tired of a number and wanted to change it.

“Why does his (Oblama’s) jersey say 23 in one picture and 25 in another?”

That’s his IQ.

23 was before he learned that water is WET.
