I absolutely agree with you. One wonders how things would be different with them had the son never been killed. A tragedy like that so often changes people in terrible ways forever.
It’s a shame she was married to someone like the Silky Pony - she needed a man to stand by her through this, not that she wanted him to after finding out about the baby and Rielle Hunter. I think had he been a different man she might not have been so bitter and volatile as she has been known to be.
I hope her final days are as peaceful as possible and that her young children have good family support to help them grow into responsible, upstanding adults. No matter what anone’s done no one deserves cancer. May God bless Elizabeth Edwards and her family.
Color me cynical, but I have a hard time connecting with people like this when it comes to their times of difficulty. That whole family (really the adults, especially as it relates to the decisions that have been made that affect the children) comes across as a phony, fabricated circus act in a lot of ways.
