A letter signed by 42 members of Congress criticizes President Barack Obama for telling students in Indonesia last month that America's national motto is "E Pluribus Unum."
Obama commented to the students last month that the U.S. and Indonesia share a similar history. "It is a story written into our national mottos. In the United States, our motto is 'E Pluribus Unum' -- out of many, one."
In a letter to the White House, members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus -- mostly Republican -- note that the national motto has been "In God We Trust" since 1956.
The caucus chairman, Congressman Randy Forbes (R-Virginia), says "In God We Trust" is too important to be forgotten. He says he and his fellow congressmen want to "make sure that we stand by that proposition and don't retreat from it."

What I have found is that those who are in rebellion to God, and know they are, are more likely to either dismiss Him altogether, or “redefine” Him as someone who wouldn’t ever judge them.
These are also the types that hold up the bible and select which verses they like and which they don’t,
putting themselves in authority above God’s Word.
As I have been saying for a long time, Obama is NOT a Christian. He went to Wright’s church and took on the trappings of Christianity ONLY to advance his political career. Like all good Marxists, he is an atheist through and through.
He probably doesn’t know Germany bombed Pearl Harbor either.

The President said the USA is not a Christian Country and so his statement here is his standard operating procedure,or he’s a dumb cluck as to what out national motto is? Either way it’s pretty pathetic!

“E pluribus unum” appears on the Great Seal. It’s “From many, one” sentiment is secular enough. But flip the Seal over and the phrase “Annuit Coeptis” appears. It translates to “Heaven smiles on our endeavors.”
For a non-Christian nation, that pesky God keeps showing up EVERWHERE!
