Pence is strong on ideas but lacks real world and executive experience (his CV is nothing but a lawyer or congress-critter). That’s not enough for me, at least at this point.

Agree, Pissant (of course we have for a while). BTW, incase you didn’t know (or forgot). I interned for Pence in Washington Summer of 2004 (is on my FR Bio).

Based on Rush Limbaugh’s record and his continuing ability to offer an insightful perspective that nobody else can give, I can only continue to think of him as an authentic voice for true conservatism.

But I can’t get past the way he talked up Romney (without officially endorsing him) during the 2008 primaries. Maybe the same kind of inexplicable scenario is happening with Pence.

Pence’s foot inside the beltway has the potential to overcome any and all of his tea party instincts.

If Pence is such a good conservative leader, why doesn’t he help get real conservatives into committee leadership positions?

Instead, we get Upton and Rogers. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2639069/posts

No, I would say now is the time to hold inside the beltway Republicans to a degree of scrutiny matching the intensity of threat we face from the rino-progressive movement.
