Apparently she walked away from a deadly car accident, reached the road, may have been picked up, yet no one reported finding her. Weird. "Because I could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for me..."

I read the whole article.

It sounds like "Ted Kennedy Chappaquiddick" syndrome.

They were at a Christmas party, witnesses said they were dancing and having a ferociously good time, and she was the driver.

?

“Her brother was sober, she told the newspaper, and was driving his wife’s car.

About 1:45 a.m. Sunday, a deputy on patrol in a rural area of Brookfield Township found a one-car traffic accident, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “The deputy found a male occupant of the vehicle in the driver’s seat deceased,”

so sad. But there's something very odd about this.

I suspect the wife wandered off in shock. It’s not unusual after an accident.

You dumb saps! Can't you connect the dots?

Contrail,...Sharpton goes after Rush,...Assange arrested,...Bernanke prints more fake money,...strange lights over Atlanta. Don't you see? Don't you understand? She's with 'THEM'................................

"Because I could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for me..."

"The carriage held but just ourselves and immortality"

Emily Dickinson. I memorized that poem for a speech class thirty years ago.

I worry that a “bad Samaritan” picked her up.

I used to go rescue salamanders and frogs trying to cross the mountain top road during their late February/early March mating season because drivers just blithely smashed them but it only took one creepy guy stopping to “help” to drive it home that I was alone, in the dark and defenseless.

I could have “vanished” here in these mountains and nobody would have ever found my remains.

[and I don’t even live in a “bad area” but that doesn’t mean bad people can’t just happen by, sometimes]

Did she have a cellphone?

According to this graphic, they weren’t going home, they are well past their home. They’re 4 or 5 miles past their house. AAnyone familiar with the area?

I agree with your assessment. She may have waved down a vehicle - or perhaps it was a case of road rage gone horribly wrong and the other party realized she was a witness.

This is why I love FR. Where else could one find a thread that begins with a mysterious solo car accident in the middle of night and a missing passenger, leading to aliens, conspiracy theory, Ted Kennedy and Chappaquiddick, all neatly tied together with a quote from Emily Dickinson.

Evil never sleeps and it never stops. And it doesn’t need the dark of night or a deserted road. It's quite happy in a smiling face or a crowed store.

Article says the police have her cell phone. It also mentions she wore glasses. I can’t imagine her going through a crash that breaks the back of the seat, and her glasses stay on. Most likely she went for help, dazed and dim-sighted.
It has an eerie note of destiny to it, though. Like she walked away from Death; so Death had to send a car to take her another way.

Break Down (1997) with Kurt Russell - one creepy movie - but really gives you idea of how evil minds are, the level of jealousy, envy, greed that most can’t comprehend

I believe the most likely theory so far was offered in the comments section of the original article.

Husband dies in accident in remote area, the intoxicated and possibly injured wife tries to round up some help. She doesn't happen upon anyone, collapses at the side of the road from the cold/injuries, and a snow plow comes along and unfortunately doesn't see her body, which is already probably covered with some snow. It plows even more snow over her body. She's buried in snow, I bet.

I suspect the wife wandered off in shock.

At first I thought there might have been something nefarious going on. She probably did wander off and unfortunately may have expired. If she were alive she'd probably have turned up by now.

OMG...I didn’t even consider the latter scenario.

I’m praying for her safe return but don’t feel a whole lot of hope....:(
