Not sure Miami ever got up to 70 arrested (or even close). How many in the last 5 years?

One cvan also wonder if the Boise State coach ( can’t remember his name) might like to trade in his snowplow...I think it’s gonna be an “outside the box/away fromt eh conventional choice” pick..

I don't want a Scientologist for a Head Coach.

All good things come to an end Gator fans like me learned that this just finished regular NCAA season.
UF had it’s time to shine.

To think already Jimbo Fisher is the dean of Florida coaches.

Sad day as a Gator alum, saw the press conference and Urban seems to be at peace with his decision and Foley was as classy as ever. I personally think Wittingham at Utah and Harbaugh at Stanford will be prime targets for next head coach. The Boise coach Pederson has a special needs child and said he does not want to move his family. Mullen is a second tier choice along with Petrino. Meyer joked during the press conference that he never thought Jo Pa would retire after him.

From Urban's presser On his plans for the future: “Im gonna put a resume together, and I’m gonna try to be a Gatorball baseball assistant coach this spring.”

My brother owns Gatorball and we are a Freeper family. Love that Urban will get to spend time with his kids and wife. So excited for them to have dad at home.

And to think that he will be coaching his final game, with Galen Hall as the opposing OC.

“”Sad day as a Gator alum...

Agreed, but I don’t know if you are still close enough in to get to a game or two. It was... well surreal is the word that best describes it : / Now mind you, we have been around for a LOT of tough seasons, but this year was nuts. All that talent and it was as if no one was in the drivers seat. We all know that definition of insanity, about doing the same thing and expecting different results? Kinda like Groundhog Day, but not funny : \

So, yes, the old Gators in our house are very sad to see Urban go, but honestly, InOurHumbleOpinion, he left a while ago, and being the wise old critters that we are, we really hope that time with his family will cure what ails him.

God bless,
and
Go Gators

All I know is Addazio better not be the head coach, he’s the one who caused this mess. I’d rather bring back Ron Zook than have Addazio.

I sensed all year that this was going to be it for Urban. It was an experiment to see if he could lessen his control and allow Addazio to run things day-to-day. It obviously didn’t work.

The dilemma the Gators face is, do they wait until the coach they want coaches their bowl game, and potentially lose recruits in the process. I know Foley said they want the coaching search wrapped up in two weeks.

You just may be right. We can’t claim to have known of any specific purpose in how the team was coached this year, but by the end of the South Carolina game, we knew definitively that Urban’s heart/mind/whatever just wasn’t in it, and worse still, no one else was taking charge either : / Which had to have been pure heck for the young men on those sidelines.

Sure do hope Jeremy works his magic and soon, since as you so wisely noted, a lot of recruits are hanging in the balance. The good news is, that the team we have IS good, if someone will just step up and make a commitment to them...

God bless.

George O’Leary of UCF would be the more correct choice of “Dean”. But perhaps you are referring to the “Big 3” only?
