NHS reaching 'breaking point', doctors warn

Financial pressures may mean junior doctors are not given training posts within the NHS and the overall number of places at medical school could drop, a report has said.

This is despite extra burdens on the health service, including European rules limiting doctors' hours, more hospital admissions and people living longer than ever before, according to the study from the UK Royal Colleges of Physicians (RCP).

Those specialties dedicated to looking after very ill people are facing particular strain, it said.

Dr Andrew Goddard, RCP director of medical workforce, said the combination of factors was 'adding further stress to a system which may reach breaking point within the next few years'.

In 2009, the number of consultant posts created across the UK increased by 10.2 per cent.

However, financial pressures on the NHS mean that rise may not continue and there are 'growing fears' of a lack of training posts for young doctors.

And they ALREADY have a death panel. It is called NICE, the Orwellian-named National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, which determines who is worthy of treatment, and who is not.

Coming to America as 0bamacare...

It’s ridiculous that the libtards continue their mad march to marxism, despite the ever mounting accumulation of data proving that the socialist model does NOT work.

Hopefully, the pubbies will find the stones to repeal this garbage before we get too deep into it.

The doctors union negotiated a very sweet deal with the Blair administration. They don’t have to work much, and get paid much more than they did before.

Now the NHS realizes that they don’t have the money.

These consistent trends in developed, first world countries to decayed health care when it is socialized, just underscore what a primitive and malevolent thing state socialism is.

There is no fix to it. Statist health control is broken and anti-human.

It’s ridiculous that the libtards continue their mad march to marxism, despite the ever mounting accumulation of data proving that the socialist model does NOT work.

They've never allowed facts to distract them from their all-encompassing hatred and envy of successful individuals. The worst mistake you can make with a libtard is trying to reason. It's much more effective to just laugh in their faces and tell them what ridiculous fools they are.

Ludwig von Mises once said: "I know only too well how hopeless it seems to convince impassioned supporters of the Socialistic Idea by logical demonstration that their views are preposterous and absurd."

The driving motivation behind a sheeperal’s support for policy is to feel good about himself as “a good person”.
They will refuse to examine an issue beyond that.
And pointing out the envy and theft inherent in the policies they support is considered a personal attack on their character, not a discussion of what works and what doesn’t.

I saw NHS and thought, “Sure - soon as MY kid gets into National Honor Society, the whole thing tanks.”
