Franklin Graham Returns to Haiti (with Sarah Palin--Pics!)
Samaritan's Purse Today ^ | December 11, 2010 | Samaritan's Purse

Posted on 12/11/2010 12:10:27 PM PST by Virginia Ridgerunner

Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham returned to Haiti today to survey our work with cholera patients, hand deliver Operation Christmas Child shoe box gifts to hurting children, visit shelter communities we built in the aftermath of the January earthquake, tour our rubble removal activities, and debrief with staff on water, sanitation, shelter, targeted feeding, training programs, and 2011 needs.

Samaritan’s Purse teams have been working in Haiti since the country was devastated by a deadly earthquake in January. Still struggling to recover from the quake, the Haitian people have more recently suffered from the growing cholera epidemic that has already claimed more than 2,000 lives and from the hurricane that pummeled the island nation in November.

“I don't know of any people in recent years who have suffered more, and in such a short period of time than the people of this small country—with an earthquake, a hurricane, and now a cholera epidemic,” Graham said.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is accompanying Graham on the trip.

"I am pleased that Gov. Palin will accompany us on a brief trip to Haiti this weekend, and I appreciate her willingness to visit Haiti during such troubled times,” Graham said. “I believe Gov. Palin will be a great encouragement to the people of Haiti and to the organizations, both government and private, working so hard to provide desperately needed relief."

"The left is going bonkers over this. Just search ‘Palin’ and ‘Haiti’ on twitter. Wishing for her death among other things.

"They fear you because you're different. They hate you because your free."

Name the movie, and you'll see the irony.

“If we’re being objective, she probably puts Chris Matthews to shame.”

Somehow, I missed that first sentence. No, I don’t think she has a “tingle” and she pressed her pretty hard in some of the early interviews, if you saw them. Sometimes VERY hard, especially in the campaign. I agree she has probably become intrigued (who wouldn’t?) and is glad to have access, but Chrissy-like? No, I don’t think so. Plus, there is a “there” there, unlike the Zero, in whom you could become interested.

The Palins are truely good Christian people and great Americans. Sarah is exactly who we need right now to keep us focused on the important issues we as a nation are facing.

I agree she’d never be as over the top on the air as he is.

I just meant on a personal level she’s probably much closer than he is. I just meant I can see the two of them hanging out and doing something just because they’d enjoy each other’s company as friends(which they seem to already have done). I can’t ever see Obama if say he had lost in 2008 or if he loses in 2012 saying “Hey, Chris, why don’t you bring your wife over to the house and we’ll cook up some steaks and shoot the breeze”.

But then again, Gov Palin seems to be more friendly in general than Obama. He comes off as a bit of a cold fish. Notice how we never hear about any “Friends of Barack”. Remember how many “Friends of Bill” there were? Even during the campaign in 2007/2008, you never really saw anything about people the Obamas just hung out with or did stuff with(well, other than Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn I guess). Even people who don’t particularly care for her say she’s fun to be around and engaging. Good with people.

Greta does feature women on her show a lot. Dems, too, rare for FOX. She’s had Hillary Clinton on a few times. Rep Giffords from AZ has been on a bunch. She’s had Gov Brewer on a bunch. She also has folks like Gingrich, Bolton, Thune, Santorum, and Kyl on a bunch. But there does seem to be something extra with her and Gov Palin. Maybe it’s Todd, she seems to have a little spring in her step when he’s around.(mostly kidding with that one).

Can you imagine On The Record if Palin actually becomes President? I think they might just do the show live from the Blue Room.

“I see Greta V in the pictures ... she has carried a LOT of water for Sarah ... and should get a LOT of credit for it. She also does a lot for worthy causes. I like her style.”

I saw the same.

At first Greta seemed fascinated and curious. It didn’t take long especially after her first visit to Wasilla that not only was she impressed but saw just how real the woman is.

I see your call and raise you that Sarah is the embodiment of “For the people, by the people, and of the people”

Todd just quietly goes about doing what he does well; being a strong, no nonsense man, speaking his mind when asked, and a sound mind it is.

The left continues to criticize and bash this generous, family loving, country loving, people loving soul but praise a selfish, elitist, snobby First Lady. Instead of visiting a needed nation the First Lady would rather pageant a vulgar display of wealth in Spain.

“I don’t know if she’d get my support for President. She definitely is all class, and a lovely Christian woman”

The reason she reminds me of Reagan, is she isn’t an Ivy Leaguer but she has the common sense and humility to surround herself with an administration made up of moral honest people. If you can manage people and have that built in BS detector then you can surround yourself with people that do know the issues inside and out.

Anyone that can run circles around the liberal left such as she has done for the last two years could definitly handle her own when dealing with terrorists.

Out of all the people that are currently in politics she has shown that she is unafraid, and has that political instinct that only Reagan had.

Screw the haters. Sarah probably gets death threats every single day from those loons. This is what I think, whatever those leftist loons wish on the Palins, I hope that karma turns around and bites them in the ass. Sarah doesn’t care what those morons think, she is living her life and helping people. God Bless her!

Greta’s husband is still an informal adviser for Sarah. Her interviews though were on the up and up. Greta does a great job, like a real reporter.
