Blasts rock Swedish capital

At least one person, reportedly a suicide bomber, was killed when two blasts went off Saturday in a busy shopping district in the Swedish capital of Stockholm.

One of the blasts was thought to be related to a car bomb, in which two people were injured.

Swedish media also reported that a suicide bomber blew himself up about 200 metres from the car. The man apparently had canisters on him and shouted in Arabic before the blast.

Swedish media were also reportedly sent a threatening email before the blast, criticizing the role of Swedish soldiers in Afghanistan and urging Muslims to take action.

It is not yet known if the email and the explosions are linked.

Boy aint that the truth. The news is pitiful, pitiful on the weekends. I live here in Nashville, Tn. When the floods happened here the first few days of May 2010 there was nothing on the news about it. I think it was day 3 or 4 before the national news had a tiny blip about it. Worthless.

Police in Stockholm released this surveillance picture of the suspected mastermind behind the plot. They say that he's suspected of multiple beheadings with a meat cleaver. They also said that he may have been near the bombing site, as someone was heard screaming "bork bork bork, inshallah!" as they ran away from the explosion.
