Well, I do think that leaving the governorship before her term was up will be used against Palin in both the GOP primaries and in any general election matchup.

Now, I understand why Palin did it, and she’s still my first choice for 2012. But it probably is an issue she’s going to have to address rather early on with some voters, I think.

Would Palin had won Whitman's support had she stayed on through the end of her term, likely financially bankrupted, a Dem winning the Gubernatorial election, and her political future destroyed?

All Palin has to do is explain to the public what happened. She was targeted, she resigned to put the state and the people ahead of herself. That will resonate with people in the middle.

Whitman is a class-A RINO scumbag just repeating the same talking ponits. No doubt she drew the short straw among the establishment hacks for her turn to attack Palin.
