Sarah Palin and the Haters of American Normal
The American Thinker ^ | December 13, 2010 | Stuart Schwartz

Posted on 12/13/2010 3:13:43 AM PST by Scanian

We are just south of Christmas, and the nation's insiders -- self-proclaimed blue-bloods by birth and/or worldview -- have declared open season on Sarah Palin. Crazed left and sclerotic right have united in common purpose -- "hellbent," as Politico put it -- to rid this nation of the possibility of a presidency that would most assuredly end in "apocalyptic disaster" after which "the survivors will envy the dead" (or so says that fading leftist icon, The New Republic). Stop her now -- or we may end up with a normal American at the helm.

Sarah Palin is just too dumb to understand how lousy it is to be in this materialist and fascist society, this hateful America, the Atlantic tells us. Scorn laces the left as New York Times opinion writers let us know that behind the deceptive Palin smile "lies anger" and an unwillingness to accept the decline that those who know better have visited upon us out of wisdom and necessity. Shut up and bowl (or hunt or fish or tailgate, or any one of the thousands of pursuits those with little culture and no brains participate in), they say, and leave the decisions to us.

Meanwhile on the right, MSNBC's house conservative, Joe Scarborough, says it's time for Republican insiders to "man up and confront Sarah Palin." She's poison for responsible (read: insider) government. Bush consigliere and FOXNews analyst Karl Rove is leading the charge to stop this outsider, whom he regards as "unsuitable" for the presidency, which is a job best left to those who brought us porous borders, intrusive regulation, and exploding government spending. (In some respects, the Obama reign is simply the Bush presidency on steroids.) From left and right, insiders all, the anger is palpable at what James Lewis of American Thinker terms...

Possibly the best piece I’ve read that explains Sarah’s attraction for people like me and the hatred she inspires in others. Really well done.

Palin is a Christian who didn't abort her "deformed" son Trig.

Godless liberals will NEVER forgive her for this - EVER! By her actions, she convicted the wicked hearts of abortionists, feminists, militant atheists, and liberals everywhere.

The sooner people understand and accept this, the better - because it isn't going to change.

Here’s hoping that 2011 will bring out more and more hateful screaming from the left and the RINOs (oops, that’s an oxymoron). Eventually their heads will explode, their bodies will burst open and America can join Governor Palin on her march to the White House.

What would Joe know about the subject of 'Man Up'?

About as much as Ashley Judd would know about the Alaskan wolf hunt of 2009.

I seem to remember this as being a “no foul play” situation per the authorities. But was the cause of death ever made public?

I’ve actually had 2 employees drop dead in front of me from massive heart attacks but they were twice that girl’s age.

The feminazis are so jealous and filled with hate.

"Elizabeth Wurzel, the best-selling author who blogs for the Atlantic, howls with pain at the realization that Palin is actually "the most visible working mother and female politician in America, that she is the best exemplar of a woman with an equal marriage, that she has put up with less crap from fewer men than those of us who" are the official feminists within the media and political elites. That's not fair, Wurzel screams, admitting that the truth "drives me absolutely bonkers."

Perfectly stated. Karl Rove as Bush consigliere.

And another of those "family" members, Dana Perino, just said on Fox and Friends that there was nothing wrong with Obama leaving the press conference to Clinton on Friday, that it was set up in advance. She said Bush used to meet with Clinton and no one ever knew about it. Very Godfather do-me-a-favorish.

As for Sarah Palin, her acceptance speech at the 2008 Republican Convention resonated with right-thinking people. Her words struck a chord in the hearts of many. Real. Loves America. Holds life sacred. Unafraid. And here she is, more than two years later, still standing strong.

“Very Godfather do-me-a-favorish”

Just remember, 0, “Godfather” may one day ask you to perform an important service.

One that may require “all your powers, all your skills.”

Naw, that couldn’t be an “important” service then. Just something “for show.”

Sarah Palin is quintessentially American. She is a throwback to the days of the founders, when citizens became politicians because the common good demanded service -- not because political office offered wealth, power, and a pool of Beltway interns ripe for sexual exploitation -- and followed their tenure with a return to private life. But we now live in the age of professional politicians, the self-proclaimed best and brightest who make decisions for an electorate too simple to understand "the facts or the truth." Or so says Senator John Kerry, the Massachusetts politician who is to "haughty" what Paris Hilton is to "self-involved."

I love this part. GO SARAH!!!

I once boxed in a lib female on why she hated Palin so much.
I didn’t allow her to use any generalities and kept pinning her down to specifics.

Finally, in exasperation, she admitted: “because she didn’t abort that baby”.

There you have it, kids. “Because she didn’t abort that baby [that I know I would have].”

I happened to catch a little of Sarah Palin's reality show this last weekend. She was teaching Willow to shoot a shotgun. When her daughter had missed the clay pigeon many times, and was ready to give up, Sara said "Don't retreat, just reload". I laughed out loud and thought to myself, "that would make one hell of a good bumper sticker". The fact that it would also probably make Liberal's heads explode with rage is an added bonus.

______________

That recalls the old Edwin Edwards (former Louisiana governor) quote, “The only way I can lose is if I’m caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy.”

Scarblow was caught with a dead girl in his office, but he walked away from it scot free.

Was Rush's quote real or tongue in cheek?

If Rush is against Sarah's potential run for the Presidency, ... it tells me something about Rush that is important. and not because it is good or correct. NO sir!

He can lose lots of his audience in regard to this issue. He does have a great following. I concur with his political views some of the time. He does understand the constitution and how America is bring destroyed before our eyes. He seems to be a conservative Republican.

A few years back when Rush was scathing against Bill Clinton ... he was not willing to say he was for Bill's impeachment. Right then and there I gained a new view of Rush. He can rail all he wants, but when the time comes to actually vote ... for what he had been expressing ... he backed off.

The opinions expressed by Karl Rove and Charles Krauthammer are a bit amazing, considering the current state of affairs in America today.w

Wurtzel was brought up in New York City in a Jewish family. Her parents divorced when she was young. As described in her memoir Prozac Nation, Wurtzel's depression began at the ages of 10 to 12. She attended the Ramaz School in the Upper East Side of New York City.

While an undergraduate at Harvard College, she wrote for The Harvard Crimson and the Dallas Morning News, from which she was later fired for plagiarism.

Sorry, I was paraphrasing. About a week ago on his show he said he was at a dinner (or some such) and some nitwit thought the Republican Party would be far better off if Sarah Palin would just go away or be shunted to one side.

Rush said he was getting supremely tired of such things coming from friends of the Republican Party (so called). Again, I'm paraphrasing.

Rush said he responded and thought he would forever to the effect that (again, a paraphrase): Great Caesar's Ghost! Yes. Give us a choice between Palin and Obama and all thinking people have to go with Obama!

He then said his conversation partner blinked a few times and changed the subject.

Naturally, no thinking person would take Obama over Palin. In 2010 probably the majority of Democrats want Obama to disappear. The only people in the United States who would take Obama over Palin are the 35% looney-toon liberals who inhabit the Democrat Party plus Karl Rove, Krauthammer, Barbara Bush and some women pundits that simply can't stand other women...ANY other women...period.

I can even cut Barbara Bush some slack. She's old so probably thinks the anchor people on the evening news are objective.

Limbaugh's point was the absurdity of those people who claim to be friends who aren't. Once in a great while Rush says something I don't understand. This wasn't one of those times.

I don't think anyone can put a paraphrase in a 'Google Search' and get anywhere. Same with Lexus-Nexus. So, sorry for the paraphrase.

I'll bet dollars against doughnuts that if Palin gets the nod in 2012 Rush will be her most ardent supporter...make that second most ardent.
