When it comes to politics, incoming Speaker of the House John Boehner is as tough as they come. But he showed a different side to Lesley Stahl on "60 Minutes" - and Boehner's not the first politician who has shed a tear in front of the cameras.
"60 Minutes Overtime" editor Ann Silvio sat down with Lesley Stahl to hear more about the next Speaker of the House John Boehner. Lesley traveled to his hometown in Ohio, met the whole Boehner clan, and even shared a few heartfelt moments with the congressman. Watch and weigh in. What do you think of your speaker-in-waiting?

Men do cry BUT not all the TIME! Even my husband was shocked at what a blubber baby he is!
Geezzzz man....get a hold of yourself!
I burst into tears when I saw 90-year old Leslie Stahl’s punk hairdo!
Boehner should avoid the msm like the bubonic plague. The Leftist media wants to portray him as weak, and he complies.
This election was not about Boehner or the GOP. It was about the critical mess that America is in and its survival. No politician should be talking about himself in this situation. To do so, makes them no better than the egotistical Obama.
He needs "Gunny" from the Geico commercials to call him a cry baby and jack wagon.
We’ll never know if Pelosi can cry or not, with all the “enhancements”, her tear ducts are probably above her hair line.
I’ll take him over any RAT any day of the week. He may cry but he’s still no RINO.
"Strong men also cry... strong men also cry."
The Establishmedia are happy the Repubs are back so they have something to investigate. Even they were getting tired of writing puff pieces for their messiah.
Pray for America
You were not elected to cry.
Will he cry when he votes FOR the earmarks in this bill? This man is simply a “wimp”. Why do we get the “outlyers” in congress, sex offenders, crooks, extortionists, tax cheats, socialists, communists ... why can we get some “real people” in there? There’s only about 500 people running this country ... I don’t think they represent a “slice” of American culture ... or at least I HOPE not! We may need the pitchforks yet (if EPA doesn’t ban them).
He was elected to feel the people’s pain and I think he has shown us how strong that pain is felt. I would prefer a crying heart over the plastic-cold heart of Pelosi any day.
Nope, look at her balls.
There is no way to spin this... the guy is just another evilcrat... and a crybaby one at that!

My concern about John Boehner crying publicly is that there may be health reasons which involve taking medication that affects emotional behavior. I saw similar reaction when a tearful Pres George H. W. Bush, campaigning, spoke to an unemployed man who asked him about taxes. I like Boehner but the crying needs to go, no time for it. If growing up poor is the soft spot I remind him that not a few Americans have worked their way up and out from what is now considered underprivileged circumstances, and been the stronger for it. Same thing applies to the current generations. I hope John Boehner finds a way to cope with whatever triggers the public tears.
I saw him cry on TV, the tears were real but has it happened before? Does he cry routinely or was this the only time?
"You can act like a man....what's the matter with you.... Is this how you turned out? A Hollywood Finochio that, uh, cries like a woman?"
“Sorry, I don’t want my leaders crying at the drop of a hat...”
Me either. For one thing, it shows a weakness whether you like it or not. It is especially weak when other countries view it. Whether someone likes it or not, the world is constantly viewing our leaders and sizing them/us up. I’m not saying that men shouldn’t cry but do it privately. Just a thought.
Boehner/Vermeil in 2012!
I don’t want a leader that cries.
very much so.
