sooooo hilarious!
Ya gotta laugh or cry. Personally, I'd rather spit. On him.
Mr. Rhythm says, "That which makes you, can also break you!"
No he isn't, but he is/was a democrat, meaning he can still vote.
By the way, aren't all cities RAT powered?
With the way the Government entities like the IRS and other bureaucracies behave I no longer necessarily believe what the government tells me about anyone.
Just read Three Felonies a Day
Of course this article doesn't mention Davlin's political affiliation, so that means he was a DemocRAT. I googled it and confirmed that. And The Simpsons' "Diamond Joe" Quimby was a crooked RAT too. Hmmm.
at least it was not an aspirin overdose.
I think of his children, one is a friend of my grandson. They are the victims here, keep them in your prayers please!
LOL.
Sounds like they should have went with Illinois.
I always thought it was based on Springfield, MA because Mayor Quimby is obviously a take off on a Kennedy.
It’s as if he didn’t pull the trigger himself or something . .
The voice was certainly intended to be a parody of a sleazy Kennedy clan member. They came up with Quimby in 1990, long before Davlin was mayor. It's just that once he took office, he seemed like a perfect match for Quimby in looks and personality. Perhaps life initiating art?
And here's a side-by-side comparison between the real life CEO of the Springfield CWLP company (City Water Light & Power), and Mr. Burns, who runs the Springfield Power plant on The Simpsons:
And real life Springfield High School bears a close resemblence to Bart's Springfield Elementary School...
Mel-O-Cream Donut Factory in Springfield, Illinois is the local equivilent of Lard Lad Donuts Factory on The Simpsons...
Springfield, Illinois is the only Springfield in the USA to have a "Shelbyville" located nearby...
Some of the coincidential similarities are just plain SCARY!
They do understand. You have no right to act as if those left behind have a right to the organs of the deceased. The man is dead. He wanted to die, not become a parts bank for those afraid to meet their Maker.
Hmmm....if things don’t work out for Rahm in Chicago, there’s an opening in the capitol. That’s almost as good.
“In other words, they are still figuring out how to classify a shotgun blast to the BACK of the head a “suicide”.”

Probably cleaning it and didn’t realize it was loaded;>)
OMG! That’s almost too funny!!!
I agree. Death is no laughing matter, and suicide is devastating to his family.
Please let them have their privacy without the wisecracks. I feel badly for them and yes, him, that he was so desperate that he thought this was his only way out. Chances are, he would’ve been given the opportunity to pay the money back with a slap on the wrist. After all, he was a DEMORAT.
Prayers for his family, especially this close to Christmas.

I don’t care what his leanings were, this thread is ridiculous in it’s vitriol; This is from one who throws it with the best of them.
