The Obama administration has an impeccable track record of caving in to Russian demands, as part of its controversial “reset” policy. Last year, it threw key US allies Poland and the Czech Republic under the bus, ditching plans for Third Site missile defences in deference to Russian opposition. It is now planning another surrender to Moscow, by pressing for Senate ratification of the new START Treaty in the lame duck session of Congress.
Instead of allowing the newly elected Congress to vote on the treaty, the Obama administration is trying to ram New START through without proper debate. No major treaty has ever been forced through Congress in a lame duck session.
There is mounting opposition in Washington to the New START Treaty, which would significantly weaken US security by undermining America’s ability to deploy an effective global missile defence system. Dozens of senators, as well as several leading likely Republican presidential candidates are opposed to the Treaty, including Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich. As Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina has warned:

Gosh! Even the people in the UK understand that there’s something wrong with the forcing of the START treaty in a lame duck session. Wonder why we don’t hear more statements of outrage from our own citizens?

Dr. John C Drew, PhD, stated over and over again to any media that would listen, that Obama was a rabid Marxist at school–and that he feels all the rich people got their money unfairly, by stealing it from all the poor people.
And, as Joe the plumber found out, he plans to rectify that by redistributing the wealth–that means taking your savings and your yearly earnings and confiscating it and taxing it to death until the government controls all that money that they can hand out now to more worthy people, people that are more worthy than you–you are not worthy because you work.
You are not worthy because you paid your mortgage. You’re not worthy because you saved up money–this means that you are a scurvy dog, because as he TOLD Dr. Drew, rich people could only possibly get all their money by stealing it from poor people -—they took it from the poor people and they are unworthy of having it and now Barack Obama thinks he has all the power in the world and is going to give it back to where it came from i.e. the leeches and the non-workers of America.

I don’t know how monumental it would be, but should Obamao go to Russia and surrender himself, it would be cause for celebration. The rest of us could send him cookies and toilet paper.

Canceling a treaty takes balls and backbone, the two things the GOP is severely lacking in it’s present form.
I agree insomuch as it is possible to cancel a treaty. I have little faith with the Lame Ducker GOP after they decided to go along with this Bush tax cut extension. This thing is a pork laden mess that could have been handled in the new congress. We could have made them permanent with out any further provisions.
I always default to the idea the GOP establishment types will handle a fight with Obummer with a limp wrist.

Which is what he was pushing for as a teenager.
