Stupid article. The PA GOP doesn’t have a “bench” yet 12 of the 19 US representatives are Republicans, along with the vast majority of its state senators and a majority of its state house representatives. The PA GOP has been bad at registering new voters and that has turned Montgomery County competitive for the Dems where it used to be solid GOP country. But I’d bet that a good challenger will arise to challenge Casey.
I’ve got some ideas, but must keep my powder, and theirs, dry.
We've also had some significant demographic changes in Montco. The population of upscale liberals has grown quite a bit in recent years. I think the Montco GOP has shed quite a bit of its complacency recently. It's not an easy county for us. Plenty of work to be done.
