Marine pollution expert blasts Obama administration drilling ban

Hmm:

The Obama administration's decision to maintain a ban on oil drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico and off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts is a mistake, according to a University of Illinois expert who wrote a six-volume book series on marine pollution.

"It's a ridiculous decision on the part of the Interior Department," said John W. Kindt, a professor of business and legal policy at Illinois. "The previous 180-day moratorium really hurt a lot of businesses. Well, a seven-year ban is going to sting even more."

Very misleading article. The man in question is not an “expert on marine pollution”, he is an attorney who is an expert on the laws regarding marine pollution. That’s like saying an attorney whose specialty is medical malpractice is a doctor. There is a significant difference.

After one car accident we didn’t ban cars.
After one airplane accident we ban airplanes.
After one ship accident we didn’t ban ships.
After one shuttle accident we didn’t ban shuttles.

So let’s ban drilling after one drilling accident.
Makes no sense. Drill here, drill now.

I am no expert, BUT:

With gas prices rising daily.
With us sending billions to the Arabs,
With cold weather coming on.
With foreign Countries drilling in the Gulf and we can’t
With Green energy at least 20 years away
With China demanding more of the energy produced
With jobs being needed badly
With our money possibly being no longer accepted as payment.

The most stupid thing I can think of is our not drilling for oil we all know we have, and that we know we will shortly be needing.

What is wrong with our Hawain vacationing President who can see us hurting and cannot bring himself to provide an answer, but doesn’t mind burning half a million dollars worth of fuel to go to Hawaii.

It’s 20 in Washington today, my oil burning heating plant is running half the night and day at $3.19 a gallon while dipstick is heading for Hawai and soothing his feet in the Pacific on a tropical Isle.

It’s not like he hasnt had more than one vacation this year.I and many Americans have had none.

It’s great to be Nero.
