Reagan might not have been a wonk along the lines of Gingrich, but he was much more versed on policy than he’s been given credit for. He was writing in-depth position papers in the years after his governorship.
But Reagan had a way of describing philosophy that was brilliant granted I wasnt around during the reagan era but from what I’ve seen on YouTube he runs circles verbally around Palin. She needs to step her game up and communicate clearly what conservatism is and why liberalism has never worked and be able to cite clear cut data and be quick to rebut obvious liberal myths and falsehoods. Talking about “real America” isn’t going to endear her to a wide audience... Making Obama look stupid like Reagan did Carter in a debate will.
