Wow. I knew we were pretty well insulated from the recession here in the Washington DC area, but I didn't realize we were the "wealthiest and most educated" region in the entire US.

The most affluent area, eh? Gee, what industry is Washington best known for that would bring about such wealth?

Well, given how many tax dollars end up here, I understand the “wealthiest” part, but given the actons and conduct of the government and its employees, I will withhold judgement on the “most educated” part.

Which proves two things:

1) The government is corrupt

and

2) Educated fools are still fools.

Stay calm, Citizens. There is nothing to see here. Do not worry. Get back tom work, pay your taxes and shut up. Stay calm, Citizens.

Of course, you are the wealthiest. You steal the wealth created in the rest of the country at will. As for education, that obviously doesn’t equate commonsense as the DC political class has bankrupt the country.

“Most educated” in what subject, how to ruin a great country? An MBA in corruption? A PhD in lying & embezzlement?

LOL. The answer I was looking for was big, bloated, ever-expanding, ever-intrusive, wasteful government bureaucracies.

Let me go to the judges. Judges?

Yes! We will accept "theft" as an answer.

This proves that even though you are educated, you still can’t chew gum and walk at the same time.

Too bad education and wisdom are two completely separate things. D.C. could use a lot more of the latter. Lots of educated idiots everywhere nowadays.

I still think the country could be ran better if the Senate and House were randomly selected from the phone book every 2 and 6 years.

Gov’t employees will form the new oligarchy in what was once the U.S. (gov’t by the people, etc.).

You’ll know the economy is about to completely collapse when the beltway is converted into a wall and moat.
