I believe your thought is correct. I have heard and read such many times. The likelihood of your comment being correct is so obvious to even myself, a layperson.

I need to correct something I typed on this thread. I think I was wrong when I typed an officer was killed and another wounded in Texas, at my post #38. On thinking on this further, I believe the officer killed and officer wounded was with Mexican authorities, and on Mexican soil. I needed to clarify.

Thank you for this post. Your post gave me an opportunity to correct something which needed correcting (above) Though with the time being the time we now witness and the death of Agent Brian Terry, I cannot help but wonder did I make a mistake.

Where to begin? The City, County and Water Authority of El Paso did everything they could to block it, including locking down access roads and gates, filing lawsuits, etc. Ditto McAllen, Eagle Pass, Brownsville and the crappy university there, Texas Parks and Wildlife, etc. Then there were the anti-fence groups, which fell into two categories, the open-borders, let 'em all in people/minority advocates and the enviro-nutcases. They sued and rabble-roused, too. How much detail would you like? I have links if you are interested.

I admit I haven’t kept up with this story, so excuse me if I ask a simple question:
Why were they being targeted by gangs to be killed in the first place? If the gangs knew to kill her also, then someone had some pretty good information that she would be there and where they were to be found. If I missed this part of the story, please point me in the right direction.

The USBP sent additional boats to the lake and the Mexican gov. sent 3000 troops on their side. Unfortunately, the whole area is a battle zone with at least 2 cartels fighting each other and the MexFeds.

I was talking about the technology available to determine when someone has crossed the boarder. I was not trying to make a comparison between how Mexican Drug Gangs and Canadian Fish & Game Officials react to boarder crossings.
