Last Friday we held our downtown Christmas Party at Dugan's Irish Pub.
We had a great crowd and the bar was filled with Christmas cheer until smoke began to fill the entire venue.
At approximately 8 p.m. the Chicago Fire Department were called to the bar to put out what was a very smoked filled bar.
After waiting outside for nearly an hour, we were told that the bar was closed for the night and we were asked to gather our belongings.
There were four small dynamite looking devices found in the men's bathroom, smoldering in the trash can.
The following evening I received a phone call from Chicago Police Department Bomb and Arson officials.
Written on the lid of one of the toliets were: F*CK THE TEA PARTY
Bomb and arson officials have deemed this incident an arson.
Luckily, nobody was hurt, however, the good people of Dugan's lost an awful lot of money.
Police are investigating and we are not going away.
Look for us to have a ONE-MORE-TIME! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW PARTY in Chicago's Loop after the New Year!
To the dozens who came out to Dugan's, I am so sorry for all this trouble. There are some very hateful people in this world and they will do whatever necessary to stop those who are fighting for freedom!
And we hope those who came out and those who were unable to make Friday's event, join us after the New Year!!

When the “rule of law” becomes the “rule of the connected,” how do we support it?
Examples: waivers under obamacare to the dems’ allies, TRILLIONS of dollars sent to connected financial institutions by the unaccountable Fed, and even something as simple as Rahm Emmanuel not having to bother with the Chicago residency requirement.

I think you have to hang on when the alternative is the abyss. Certainly when the question at issue is arson, you have to rely on law enforcement. The way I picture the state of things, I don't see the Chicago Police Department looking the other way in an arson case because of the Tea Party.

There is no “rule of law”, the government has perverted any sense of that line of thinking. Consider the Black Panther case and now the BP case. The fact that nothing will be done in this case...rule of law? Yes, there are no rules for the democrats.

Correction, we are NOT a nation of laws. That is a naive position, as outdated as the LIBs adhering to the Constitution. When some people go to jail for not paying income taxes and the writer of tax laws does not; we have no nation of laws.
When some people can enter this country, murder citizens on the highway, rape our women and children and nothing is done, we have no nation of laws.
When American citizens are assumed guilty and subjected to unlawful search and seizure, while the most likely to commit crimes are exempt, we have no nation of laws.
What we have is EXACTLY what the Founding Fathers sacrificed their blood, their wealth and their very lives to overthrow. We have a tyrannical ruling class that despises us and will not listen, no matter how loud we yell or how long we speak.
I am reminded of Aragorn’s speech at the Black Gate:

From what you wrote above and about 'all the smoke', those 'dynamite looking devices' sound like Smoke Bombs.
If they were, they're legal (even in Chi), and used in HVAC (the V part - Ventilation) to test for leakage in Ductwork and for proper functioning of Smoke Exhaust Systems, mostly in Stair Ways where the Exhaust Fan is mounted directly above on the roof, or above a large Atrium.
'Smoke Tests' used to be SOP in 'the business' but I don't see as many 'Smoke Exhaust Fans' being spec'd like back in 'the olden days'(1). But Smoke Bombs are still available and anyone in the business can buy them from 'the right places. And in the Chi Metro Area those tests are performed by Union Workers: Test and Balance Technicians (note: not part of any SEIU local).
(1) Fully Sprinkled buildings are making Smoke Exh Fan/System go the way of the Dodo. And now there's more stringent methods on Duct Construction itself, meaning less air leakage and Smoke Tests of ductwork unnecessary.

I haven’t seen anyone on the left picking it up, but biggovernment, fox, beforeitsnews, buzzbox, examiner, and others of a “rightish” orientation are definitely broadcasting it. Circumstantial evidence is still evidence.
