What rock does this writer live under to think that the label “lamestream media” was first used by Sarah Palin?...

Please re-read the paragraph again, T-Bird45. I think it said something to the effect that sparring with the "lamestream media" was one of Mrs Palin's signature issues, not that she had coined the "lamestream" term herself.

I think the "lamestream" phrase was first used by Bernie Goldberg. Do I win anything if I'm right?

If Sarah is going to go forward where we’d like her to go, she’s going to have to directly deal with the more unsavory players of the media. There’s no way around it.

This time though, she’ll be doing it on her terms, in her own way. Advisers will be consulted, but she’s calling the shots now.

All one has to do really is recall what the MSM, and the Leftists did to Anita Bryant, and note the similar tactics as they use them against Sarah Palin. The similarity one will see I hope is of all out venemous, catty, childish, assault one can recall associated with reckless, and irresponsible youth. A level of maturity the Left never surpassed.

This is their point to discourage support and, most importantly, to discourage her from even entering the race. They know Palin does not shy away from a fight and shines a light on Obama and the Demonrat machine and in a presidential race they know that more people would pay attention and realize the truth to Palin’s words and opinion changes all the time with a lot of people and Obama is there to be exposed for those not afraid to tell it like it is. Palin is a genuine fear for them and these polls are nothing but an attempt to just keep her out of it because they don’t want anyone to focus on the corruption of their loverboy.

I'm so sorry I missed this 'politico' article yesterday! I didn't get here until well into the evening! Bookmarking just for proof alone that the nasty Mark McKinnon hasn't has any contact with her since '08! LOL.

If she does run, McKinnon, who has not had contact with Palin or her aides since the debate prep, said Palin will need to learn to cope better with media criticism, interact more with traditional media and dial back her tweeting.

“Start stroking the old media,” he said. “And woman up, ignore the critics and slow down the trigger finger on the send button.”

But Mary Matalin, among the few Beltway Republicans who have consistently praised Palin, said she would advise Palin against trying to build relationships with mainstream media (MSM) outlets, since their reporters “at best, don’t understand (Palin) and, more commonly, have an elitist, Pauline Kael world view where people like Palin are hicks from the sticks.”

Palin “has received jaw-dropping unfair coverage from the MSM,” Matalin said, praising Palin for blazing "new trails” to disseminate her message without the assistance of the media. “No other political figures have the kind of reach she has achieved on social media forums.”
