Minn. GOP brings out the knives for moderates (hordes of RINO traitors get the zot)
Politico ^ | 2010-12-11 | James Hohmann

In a dramatic display of the new Republican order, Minnesota’s state GOP banished 18 prominent party members — including two former governors and a retired U.S. senator — as punishment for supporting a third-party candidate for governor.

The stunning purge, narrowly passed by the state Republican central committee last weekend, suggests more than just a fit of pique: by banning some of the state’s leading moderates, the Minnesota GOP moved toward extinguishing a dying species of Republican in one of its last habitats.

Those exiled warned that the measure, which bans the 18 former members from participating in party activities for two years and bars them from attending the 2012 Republican National Convention, may provoke a backlash that undercuts the party’s competitiveness in a state that’s voted for the GOP presidential nominee just once in the past half century.

Nice. Needs to happen more often, really. I wish it could happen in NY, but that is wishful thinking.

Here in San Diego the 53rd district wasn’t even listed in the voting guide, Susan Davis won by default in a fairly conservative area.

Two points about RINOs:

1. If they don't help you win get rid of them, and

2. Don't let a RINO get into your inner circles where Party Decisions are made or Ideology/Campaign Platforms are decided.

That number 2 point applies even to those who help you win.

At the same time don't mistake the Country Clubbers with the RINOs. The Country Clubbers are the upper middle class folks who traditionally spend their own money to help the Republican party work and get organized to select candidates and to run campaigns.

Barry Goldwater, for example, was a long-time Country Clubber until one day he wrote a book and the Leftwingtards came out of the woodwork to attack him.

The Republican party hasn't been the same since.

BTW, the RINOs and Rockefeller Republicans tried to expel Barry Goldwater from the party and they refused to support his run for the Presidency.

“You would only be surprised is Party A is called “Republican” and you are not used to them being serious.”

Oh yeah. You’ve got it.

Those exiled warned that the measure...may provoke a backlash that undercuts the party’s competitiveness...

KISS MY GRITS, YOU SIMPERING RINOCRAT BASTARDS!

The "backlash" you purport to warn about is the one that just got your hapless keisters kicked to da curb! You know; the one you never saw coming; the one that took you from the blind side?

But, here you go, proving to the universe that you have not learned the lesson; that you WILL not learn the lesson; that you will go to your miserable graves in utter DENIAL of what We, The People have been trying to teach you.

There's no greater fool than the fool who meets his doom self-blinded to its cause.

I have not forgotten how Al Franken stole the election from Norm Coleman and yes, there was also a third party person running.

Good start. There is still a lot of work to do. This State has been under the thumb of the DFL (Democrat-Farm-Labor) mafia for entirely too long. Weak spined RINO’s are not what we need making decisions for the rest of us.

In almost every case where a conservative Republican loses an election - it was because a third-party 'conservative' candidate was on the ballot.

A third party is NOT the answer to RINO's. Local house cleaning of the only viable conservative party in the nation IS the answer... but, that takes too much time and effort for 95% of those who call themselves conservative - having NEVER darkened the door of any of their own local party establishments even once.

Notice that in close elections (Dino Rossi, Norm Coleman), the Republican does not win. The Demos always find ballots in the back seats of cars.

The Rinos in the Senate need to be striped of committee power. They are wrecking the country and ignoring the vote from the last election. They should never be permitted to represent the Republicans in negotiations with the President. Better they join the Democrat Party (Soros) while Republicans are not in the majority and permit them to continue to wreck the country in the name of Republicans.

THAT TOO!!

Elimination of voter fraud would nearly eliminate Democrats in office - but, not quite.

I hope there is more to come in many more states. I would love to know that the phrase “RINOs beware” actually meant something.
