More than 140 prisoners escaped from a prison near the U.S. border on Friday, media said, the latest breach of Mexico's notoriously insecure jails that are helping to feed a violent drug war... on the outskirts of Nuevo Laredo across from Laredo, Texas.

In September, 85 prisoners escaped from jail in the nearby border city of Reynosa. Authorities discovered in July that prison officials had allowed convicts out of jail in northwestern Durango state to carry out revenge attacks before returning to cells for the night.

OK, now is it too soon to call Mexico a failed state?

This is the kind of crap that happens in Yemen.

Well there is nothing to worry about. They can probably just go ahead and release any that were unable to escape. We have been assured that the border is safer than ever. (/s)

Mexico has become a criminal state. Fence it in, and don’t let anyone out until the people stop it.

They must have heard about the Dream Act. In his quest for Democrats, Dear Leader and Big Sis have opened the door to unspeakably violent people. So long as the MSM dutifully ignores it, it will go on.

Article I, Section 10, last clause. When will a border state governor formally recognize the defacto state of invasion and imminent danger and exercise their Constitutional power (and duty)? The mere hint that this is being seriously contemplated should be enough to spur action.

“Early release.”

It actually is “catch and release.” When the Mexican goberment cathces a cartel memeber there is alway a big press conference and pictures of the cartel memeber in handcuffs. After the press conference there is no further news about what happened to the guy.

This is how Mexico always handles its criminal population, it lets them “escape” north. Most were in the US before daybreak.

Now Mexico's corrupt federales don't have to feed ‘em any more, we do! With our crime victims. Our handouts. Our charities. OURS = reserved for US, not "them" and as if that's not enough, with our own childrens JOBS!

This insanity must and will stop.

Question is what will it take to set off the first spark. I want trials for treason immediately for all those elected and/or appointed officials that have allowed this invasion since the last amnesty to end all amnesties in '85.

Seal off the border already!! Deport, do not reward!

Ya gotta love Mexico...I remember when Bush said, "Mexico is our good friend"..

The room I was in went silent...Everyone quickly glanced at each other, then away..

I imagine if one of the elected elites is killed or raped by the criminals from Mexico, they might consider doing something.

Actually, it would probably take more than one incident- and even then who knows? There really is little hope for this country if things aren’t turned around quickly. I foresee the US breaking up, or parts merging with other countries, like the outhouse to the South.
