“Buy Costco meats, far cheaper and taste great!! “

Yep, Costco has the best meat of any mass retailer by far. Very high quality and very fresh. Yum!

I received an email from Omaha Steaks this morning offering their products 50% off and free shipping. Their lamb at 50% off works out to $18.00 a pound.

Another Big Reason to Buy ALLEN Bros. STEAKS!

That's my choice. I switched about 4 years ago. Omaha Steaks are over-rated and overpriced. At least Allen Bros is only overpriced.

I can’t understand how they stay in business!

Yup. Costco is our choice, too.

Love their prime rib roast. Ships fresh and cooks up wonderfully in our convection oven. Not cheap though.

My wife is going to cook one up for Christmas day... along with a healthy helping of crab legs!

Well, that was pretty bloody straightforward. And ample reason for me to stop using them. If I did.

And their follow up email to your email does not impress. It is a backpedal.

Seems like a fair extension to me, especially when looking at the political donations outlined above...I could never find one with a “(R)” after it.....

“Mr. Beck’s show is enjoyed by many, and we at Omaha Steaks hope our steaks are too. “

That sentence sets a new standard for weasel speak.

At our Seattle home, we buy the Costco “cut them yourself” tenderloins. They are about the size of a large person’s forearm. You cut them into steaks yourself. I created very thick steaks from these once (I like mine extra rare, btw) and was able to LITERALLY and easily cut them with a fork.

We’ve kinda gotten spoiled.

We buy our beef directly from a farmer, (And friend) pick the animal we want, (Angus steer) and have it custom fattened to our request. Not even Kobi Beef could compete with this stuff. We have it killed and butchered by a local meat cutter and we pay around $2.50 per pound, wrapped and frozen. Imagine, New York steaks, Prime Rib, Rib eye and lean roasts for $2.50 Per pound? And even the burger can be made into steaks and has incredible flavor. Once a person buys beef this way, the can do it no other way!

I just got a delivery from Omaha Steaks from my brother & sister-in-law & nothing was really great except the apple tartlets. I’m not much of a meat eater anyway so the stuffed potatoes & apple tarlets are gone so my husband will be stuck with the rest-chicken breasts-pork chops-stuffed sole-steak, hot dogs & none look that good. I haven’t bought from them in the past 2 years & won’t buy from them again. Lets help the companies that agree with our views & our American companies.

The fact that you were so disappointed that you were motivated to take that picture is quite damning of the product, actually.

I did too...told them in a “nice” way what they could do with their stuff and their support for Nelson, Obama, and their cronies....wonderful to be enlightened by Freepers!

Yeah... Smells like a butt covering after the one from the other gal.

Most vegans are liberals. Not all, but a super-majority. They tick off us Omni-/Carnivores and exactly who do they think will be eating their product?

Which not only makes them Leftist supporters, but now liars as well.

I hate liars. I can tolerate when someone makes an honest mistake or is just too stupid to know better... But intentional dishonesty really burns my biscuits.

“once you’ve had quality beef from a non-industrial/factory/feedlot source - you’ll know it. And never want to have anything else.”

My husband and I used to get fillet mignon for about $1.50 USD a piece in New Zealand. It was the best beef I’ve ever eaten. We learned to avoid the beef that had much marbling because it wasn’t as good and we guessed was finished on feed instead of grass. Boy do I miss NZ beef! We had a good laugh over the fast food commercial slamming McDonald’s for getting beef from NZ. It almost made us want to eat one of their burgers. LOL.

As for Omahobama Steaks, the second email was just pathetic. Day late and a dollar short, bub.

By the way, they also sell biscuits, freeze dried, shrink wrapped, and packaged in 3 pounds of plasticized cardboard. Just add water. You probably couldn’t burn these things to save your butt.

And only for the small sale price of $12 per biscuit! And think of all the UPS union jobs you will be saving.....

“You’ve obviously never had non-industirally produced meat”

The advantage of being rural. A very good locker is less than 1/2 hour away!
