In the back of my mind, I’ve had the suspicion that this is more to do about getting conservatives out of the military, and making it a full blown gay parade.
Once the buggery starts, folks will start leaving, and that will leave the gay activists in charge.
I’m afraid there will be a few friendly fire accidents.....

The lawyer for Santa Claus argued and won the case for his "legitimacy" by showing the US Post Office (a branch of the US Gov't) "recognized" Santa as "legit" (with all the rights associated with it) by accepting and delivering his mail.
IMHO, this is ALL this repeal is about.
Once the US Military "recognizes" LGBT as "legit", they will HAVE to be officially recognized by the WHOLE US Gov't as legit,(states rights be damned), with all the heterosexual rights that go with it such as getting married, teaching Boy Scouts, being a priest , pastor, school teacher, etc, with all the "All Communist Lawyers Union" (ACLU) chomping at the bit to sue into oblivion anyone who denies the "rights" of these "newly Gov't recognized" groups.

Retired Congressman Duncan Hunter released this statement today regarding this weekend’s critical votes in the United States Senate:
The so-called DREAM Act does one thing – and that is it disserves the men and woman of our Border Patrol and our other border control agencies. It increases the magnet for illegal immigration into the United States. It is one more way of saying that if you get past the immigration officers, and you violate our laws and come into the United States, and you cut into the line in front of the people who are patiently waiting, you will be rewarded in some way. That is exactly the wrong message we should be sending in this age, when we need to really enforce the border and make sure that folks who come into this country knock on the front door. The Senate should reject this amnesty plan from the open borders lobby.
And once again, the liberals in the Senate and the House are prepared to “reward” the great men and women who won the war in Iraq by forcibly injecting practicing homosexuals into their ranks. I would advise the members of the Senate and the House to listen to your Marine Commanders, who commanded the point of the spear, the tip of the spear – that is the platoons, the companies, the battalions, and regiments of Americans in combat – to reject this new legislation that would repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. What the legislation really amounts to is an unprecedented injection of practicing homosexuals into the ranks of young men and women who joined the US Military not only for all the benefits that are offered, and not only for the opportunity to serve their country, but also for the wholesome atmosphere that the US Military has always maintained, with its reliance on traditional values. Those traditional values are about to be ripped apart by the leftwingers in the House and the Senate. My advice to all the members of the Senate who want to see the continued effectiveness of the US Military is to reject this radical approach that is being spearheaded by Barrack Obama and Harry Reid in the next couple of days.
Add to that the need for the draft to be reinstated further adding to the disgruntled members....
Though the author makes good points, the National guard and local police have already shown they are all too willing to disarm the citizenry, just like after Katrina.

This is a concerted efforts by liberals to destroy the military and normalize homosexuality.
Most people don’t understand the threat that open homosexuality poses to security, and it was highlighted in the Wikileaks incident.
Everyone is saying “How did this low level enlisted guy get his hands on so much classified material?” The simple explanation (and usually the right one) is that the security clearance and storage systems are so mangled, underfunded and poorly implemented that if it hadn’t been this guy, it could have been a thousand other people.
But another explanation could be a homosexual affair with someone who had higher clearance, coupled with blackmail. It is probably the oldest trick in the book.
Supporters of repealing DADT maintain that if homosexuality is normalized, this type of vulnerability will disappear because there will be no official stigma associated with it.
The problem with that view is that most people understand homosexuality is a perversion and not a normal, natural situation. Even if it is accepted by some governing agency (like the military) there are ALWAYS going to be people engaging in homosexuality who don’t want anyone to know, their families, friends, workplace, etc.
On a non-security/non-military level, this is simply a great, big, huge wedge, societally and legally, a massive bulldozer by the homosexual community to legitimize homosexuality and homosexual marriage.
If they win on this, every single piece of legislation out there that is viewed as unfair or limiting in some way by homosexual activists will fall like a house of cards, and they damn well know it. It will set a legal precedent for all aspects of society to be forcefully accessible to open homosexuality, from Scoutmasters to the Oval Office.

The military requires uniformity. Diversity will destroy it.

if they homosexualize the military it will be impossible to just say “thank you to those who serve”.

IMHO, I think the repeal of DADT is the first step to bringing back the draft. Dems love the draft. It makes people crazy about going to war, thinking their child who had no calling to be a soldier might be sent to another land to die.
The Dems know that the South and Christians are much more likely to join the military voluntarily, looking towards it as a good career.
It’s different in more secular progressive areas of the country. Their view is you have to be stupid or desperate to sign up. As John Kerry said, people without options get “stuck in Iraq”.
Here in the South I see people join out of pure pride. Most of them I know are Christians, viewing it as a God Given patriotic duty and priviledge to join.
Will they still join, now they have to serve next to gay men? I think not so much. If recruitment really starts to fall, look for the dems to seek after a draft.
The funny part is, if enrollment really does go down, look for the MSM to wander around staring up in the sky like village idiots, and come up with some very strange ideas for the drop, having nothing to do at all with DADT.

Dear Senator Brown:
Before you vote on “Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell” you should be able to clearly answer the following:
“What does it mean to be openly gay in the military?”
By voting to repeal, it can probably be assumed that you are condoning consenting sexual encounters in the shower or the barracks.
It means that the gay lifestyle language and physical mannerisms may be displayed while in uniform and that ‘flippy’ salutes must be tolerated.
It means that cross dressing on off duty hours is acceptable when visiting social establishments on post.
And surely it means that any objection to the above will be met with instant litigation and possible discrimination charges brought against those in command.
Why else would this bill be necessary?
Mr. Brown, please explain to the American public how these possibilities may be addressed before you help democrats pass this ridiculous law.

That is the left’s reason for existing.
On the one hand they replace our Bill of Rights, which were designed to preserve our freedoms by denying certain powers to the government, with “Positive Rights” (e.g., “Human Rights” or “Civil Rights”), which give abusive powers back to the government. On the other hand, they insist on destroying the distinction between civilian law and military justice. The UCMJ enables our soldiers to defend us against foreign enemies without being prosecuted by leftist lawyers.
Until recent years our legal system has allowed us to enforce laws in civilian courts and defend ourselves without destroying our freedoms. But now our left wing radicals have forced us to try foreign terrorists in civilian courts. This leaves us with the choices of either railroading Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (thereby destroying our basic freedoms), having to reveal secrets that are vital to our national security in order to successfully prosecute him, or letting him go.
Thanks to ending DADT, our military can’t even willfully look the other way to tolerate the presence of homosexuals who are content to just do their jobs without conducting “gay rights” parades.
Our States are denied the right to protect their borders against an onslaught of illegal immigrants and the occupation of border areas by Mexican gangsters in order to comply with the UN’s agenda of phoney “Human Rights”.
That’s the idea. To turn the freest and most creative country in history into just another UN run hell-hole by convincing us that freedom is impractical.
And in 2012, once all the adverse data is in, we’ll vote in a conservative Senate and President.......and we’ll reinstate DADT: and summarily discharge all of the homos that came in in 2011.
Some will come out but I don’t expect a huge outing.
