I dunno- the Brits as was said in an earlier post are big on protocol and they are not beholden to our fearless non-leader who knows nothing of proper social manners.

You're absolutely right. As much as this tickles the hell out of us, it won't be allowed to stand as it is. Much too large a slap in the face, I'm afraid (although it's entirely deserved).
My guess is that the House of Windsor actually planned this "oops", just to slap the dickens out of The Anointed One. His and Michelle's invitation will arrive shortly by diplomatic courier, and they can then politely decline.
They wouldn't dare show up after having been so cunningly dissed.
