“I have to spend the holidays with the in laws, one is a flaming militant gay. I won’t be holding any punches this year. The good news is I doubt they will be inviting me back.”

That always works for me, with in-laws, co-workers and acquaintances. I sometimes read (like in a post up above here somewhere) “we should engage them” ... well ... you do it. I just let em know what I think and the engagement is off. No pun intended. The wife gets a little ticked off once in a while, especially if it’s a big gathering or a family thing, but screw em ... if they bring it up, I’ll bring em down. If you don’t say it, it festers anyway.

And “they won’t invite me back” holds no threat to me listening to some prancing fairy discuss his shrink’s opinions on whatever the hell is the topic of conversation.

I too have certain Demorat relatives that support the homo agenda (and abortion agenda as well). I have decided these past few months to go by the way of the Amish (since that religion pops up on this site so often) and just shun them. I can’t tolerate them condoning and supporting sin so I will shun them till they turn away from evil and come to their senses.

I have a bad feeling however this may be for the rest of our lives.

I agree with you and posted something similar a week or so ago on another thread re: Muslims. It’s time for us to quit being polite, smiling and appeasing the Godless. What fellowship does light have with darkness? We don’t, and shouldn’t try to. We’re supposed to hold out the gospel to them, not be their friends. We need to individually make it very clear where we stand. Reach out to the sinner, but unless they repent, after being exposed to the gospel, we should not try to be their friend, fellowship with them, or “go along to get along.” I’ve had enough “diversity” crap. I am not diverse and I am not tolerant of those who want to openly sin, renounce the God this country was founded on, and destroy it. We need to collectively grow a couple and make it clear that socially the Muslim, Gay, and illegal immigrant demanding special rights and attention is not wanted and will not be tolerated. This country was a melting pot. If they don’t want to “melt” and be an American, they can learn what shunning is. We’re “One nation, under God.” We may have doctrinal issues and denominations, but we were still founded upon biblical principles. Like it or lump it.
