I guess Archer Daniels Midland called in all their lobbying chits to intimidate Republicans to go ahead and do this in spite of the people's loud voices all last summer and fall in D.C. and the monstrous landslide we produced east of NV on Nov. 2nd!!!
What a horrible shame they can so cavalierly dismiss the wishes of the ones who brought most of 'em to the damned dance!!!
This will KILL thousands of family farmers and dairymen all over the country while we are starting to buy milk from New Zealand and even China!!!
New Zealand exports milk solids, a highly processed product. NZ farmers are switching from raising sheep to cows for these milk solids. Environmentalsts should be horrified by this as cows are vastly harder on the environment than grazing sheep. Milk solids are far more profitable than wool or lamb.
When you drink skim milk you are getting a reconstitution of mild solids and water, not just milk with the cream removed.
