Hmmmm as someone once said trust or in this case don't trust but verify, and in the hermit kingdom, not going to happen.

I wonder how much that’s costing us.

Is this even a condition at the moment?? Or did Bill Richardson just go full blown pussy?

Sounds like the situation has been diffused. I figured as much. I am sure they managed to get all sorts of concessions out of both the US and South Korea.
North Korea will act up again, but I doubt they do anything in response to South Korea’s planned live fire exercises.

If the south calls off its artillery exercise, and shifts position and declares a new exercise at some future point... And we keep the Lincoln group in the area, but reposition now and then...
We can watch the NKpigs burn up the last of their gas trying to respond hauling their artillery and ground based aa missile systems about.
This is a simplistic tactic, and brought down the soviets.
Granted, on a larger scale. These things work, always have, always will.

Sounds like the Chinese promised North Korea that they'd continue to publicly support the regime... but in return, the Norks would have to clime down from the YP-do and nuclear mess.
