Guess Jim is from NYC. Explains a lot. He’s probably like my NY born wife was when we met - didn’t want guns in the house. She now has a CCW. Hassan couldn’t purchase a gun out of state legally, anyway, much less 100 guns. I have Muslim aquaintances who seem like nice folks. They should be able to purchase guns. Maybe they are collectors, too. My son’s college roommate was a Muslim, very nice kid. His parents were extremely nice too. I don’t trust any Muslim, tho (I don’t really trust ANYBODY I don’t know extremely well, something that has served me well in my 57 years). Hassan probably wants a gun for self defense like the rest of us. But if Hassan gets his gun and wants to start blasting, I plan to be armed and defend myself. Here in TX and other legal carry states, I’m sure a lot of folks around me will also be armed. I do feel sorry for people in states that restrict your RTKBA. Hopefully we can get control of all 3 branches of gubmint and fix that problem on a national level.
Depends on the state of residency and the state the purchase was occurring in.
Even NJ allows out of state residents to obtain a firearms ID which permits purchase of long guns if such a sale is allowed by the state of residency. Handguns are another matter as federal law limits sales to state residents with IIRC some very limited exceptions.
Jim IS from NYC, but he lives in rural NH and has seven guns in the house. His 13 and 11 year old daughters shoot with him, and his nine year old is getting her first gun for her next birthday.
Look, I agree with everything said here about BATFE and bad faith - but I think BATFE should be proactive in preventing Mumbai in New York.
I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.
